I wish Norse the most success because I do believe long haul low cost is possible.
I met a crew down route in EZE in Norse’s previous incarnation. Lovely people, good product but I couldn’t work out where the cost savings were coming from. 787s expensive to buy/lease and not that reliable (especially with the RR engines), pilot salaries not that much different and I think the cabin crew were the same or better. Same hotels, same landing fees, same fuel prices, same navigation charges, etc. but cheaper tickets. No better utilisation as LH and at the mercy of 3rd party engineering, catering, check-in and so on.
I wish them the best but the business model seemed to be based mostly on hope? What has changed significantly since MK I became MK II?
