They will check to see if you have a pulse and a licence. After that, you are in. Seriously, why waste your time with Norse? Still losing money in the good times when everyone else is turning big profits.

Curry is the best part of a secondment to India , although is not much .
The bad ? Food intoxication , dealing with the mess , the daily hassle of passengers , the heat , the monsoon .....and oooh , I believe you signed for a job to stay home or at least down in the civilization , but somehow you ended in India .
I know that Norse is not a bad place to work (at least before the secondment ), but be aware of what expects you as an ULCC that has to turn into an ACMI as it's last breath .

Once worked for a horrendously mismanaged long haul LCC - sign of the impending doom was taking wet leases around the world for whoever they could find. (The most reprehensible thing was the captains who used their legacy staff travel to scuttle off home, leaving the cabin crew stranded half the way around the world when the HQ doors were boarded up).

A long haul captain is a captain from the moment you check in at home base to the moment you check out at home base.
Being in the military, you should never leave your crew behind.
Can Norse guarantee they'll help their crew return home from India when their company goes bankrupt?

I hope you aren't a skipper.

You mention the military, but this is not the military, and this example doesn’t seem like they were left in a war zone. More likely an air conditioned airport with WiFi, hire cars and restaurants.
Get back to the crew park next week and one of your crew have a puncture and need breakdown. Are you going to wait 3 hours until they arrive ‘just in case’? If you answer yes have a think, would you really?
Now, common decency would hopefully make you help, of course it would. But this idea that as a captain you are a descendant of the chivalric knights duty bound to uphold your honour and that of the hat you wear is all a little bit contrived. You’re a worker bee for an airline.

Myself and many others can list multiple examples where we have had to step up down route. Sick crew member? Assaulted crew member? Security issues at the hotel? Crew shuttle driving dangerously and using their cellphone? Crew member forgot their credit card or money (prior to the days of Apple Wallet)? The list continues.
Are you a skipper?

As i know they have already start calling CPTs and FOs for interview. They have even hired some of them for the base of ATH. The amount of applications is really big as they informed me. They did interviews the previous month ,they do these days, and maybe they will do next month too. Good luck !

Your examples are entirely different than the situation mentioned.
Downroute working for a solvent company you know that you will be able to claim back all your expenses for the assistance you provide. It is not the job of a captain to fund anything from their own pocket.
An airline is not the military or anything like it. There is no “band of brothers” in an airline.
It’s a job done by professionals.
Nothing more.
It’s not professional to treat it like the military.

I'm type rated on 737 not 787. However they call people who are not type rated. In my assessment there were guys from a320 and ATR. So do not worry, they may call you soon.
