Anyone heard anything on how the "floating contract" is going to look like? Have a friend in the process at the moment...

Hmmm. Cyprus contract - smacks of their origins in OSM.
To be honest , I had a brief look at Norse after covid . Their pilot recruitment seemed a shambles from the word go - constant emails to update this or that . I basically gave up on em ( primarily due to their shaky finances to be fair) , there’s plenty of more straightforward airlines about

Anyone on here with Norse UK - what's it like? I see there're looking for First Officers. I'm with a regional operator at the moment and considering jumping ship, but not sure if it's secure to do so!

Hope I am wrong, but it seems like a very risky move to me

Honest opinion. Norse UK is a nice bunch of people to work with, top to bottom. Professional operation, good pay (recent pay deal and T&Cs). Operational issues with the RR engine wear, though this will be sorted going forward, and 787 is a delight. Rostering challenges, due crew sickness and too much leave that crew need to legally take. But some crew earn't a bunch £££ over the holidays. New CEO appointed for the Group, so hopefully we will see some more plans for the future, beyond the 12 current aircraft. However, if you can get in with Virgin or BA, its a no brainer for most.

But this is Norwegian all over again.
Norwegian LGW to SEA, extra 2 hours of flight time due to a lower ETOPS caused by RR engine issues.
RR issues were one the reasons Norwegian ceased Long Haul ops. That, plus COVID, Argentinian base ops, etc etc the list continues.
This is deja vu. Some famous quote about insanity repeating the same mistakes and expecting a different outcome.
I really hope you people at Norse do not receive an email the day before payday this January just like you guys did at Norwegian in 2021.

Similarities with Norwegian LH, maybe. But the RR Engine issue, is coming to an end, RR has just got a backlog to cope with. The rest you stated doesn't apply to Norse UK or NO.. New CEO in place, hopefully will get a better way forward. Loads are good ex LGW, mostly overbooked. Indigo ops bringing in the $$$ on the NO side, and P&O contract doing well for the UK AOC. Choices, choices.

that’s good to hear , but large load factors don’t necessarily equal profit . I can fill a plane myself I imagine if I do it at an unrealistic seat price .
ACMI stuff - great if you want to live and fly out of India , but it indicates the low cost long haul gig doesn’t work all year round from Europe as NAS already found , prior to Covid , which was a convenient time to bin the LH

I’m going. It seems as though the booking is only for an hours interview, and mentions nothing about a sim assessment, although it’s mentioned as part of the process.
