Interesting aircraft - what have you seen on your computer today?
Copied from their Facebook page:
“So yesterday afternoon Air Alderney were advertising Islander experience flights from Brighton City Airport (Shoreham) for this weekend. With the scenic flight cost of £39.99 I decided to pop along to support their adventure. I turned up fairly early and found that I was number one in the queue for the first pleasure flight of the day. The aircraft doing the flights would be BN2B-26 Islander G-BLNI c/n 2188. After going through the formalities of being weighed (that’s a first for me) and watching the safety video it was time to board. Under the callsign “Puffin 101” and in glorious sunshine we taxied out to Shoreham’s runway 02. On departing we headed east in a clockwise direction around Brighton city overflying the American Express Community Stadium ( home of Brighton & Hove FC), Brighton Marina, along the coastline and over the sea before turning finals to land on runway 02. A flight just under twenty minutes and thoroughly enjoyable. A big thank you to Air Alderney for putting on the experience and to our pilot Rob who absolutely nailed the landing kissing the runway with a 17 gusting 25 knot crosswind.“
Many people were asking about more flights. No response from Air Alderney

Hearing definitely working! Just heard (and seen) three military turboprops in quick succession, USN C-26, RAF A400 and an Italian Navy Avanti. First time I've seen one of those C-26s, inbound Northolt as is the Avanti. French Xingu also inbound Northolt...
I noticed them on a tracker, but didn't see, nor hear them. Must be a powow between some of the upper echelons of the military. Hopefully something positive.
It would be interesting to know which is loudest going by, as the Xingu, P180 and C-26 are all pretty LOUD!

Goddamit, missed an E-4B sail almost directly over my head about an hour ago! STILL never seen one... always so near and yet so far...
Went into Mildenhall, supporting Biden's visit to Brussels.

Lucky sod! Getting off a bus in a mo and disappearing into Sovereigns pub in Woking. Saw AF1 last year! At last...

Even as I approached Sovereigns, I could see a pint of Stowford Press awaiting me on a table near the entrance...all thoughts of AF1 were driven from my mind. Now on the 2301 back to Clapham, the 22.48 having been delayed interminably by trespassers on the line. Run the gits over.
Edit. Trains at Clapham also delayed by trespassers. Hmm. Much amused by young lad who tried to barge past me as train came in and dumped half his mobile tech over the platform. Silly
.
Edit 2: same silly bastard on same bus as me - this time he didn't barge past me when the bus arrived and nor did he drop his tech everywhere. A salutary lesson?

Thought you must have been indoors or a long way from home not to have heard and commented on the An26 that came rattling overhead around teatime yesterday. Birmingham - Reading then ESE to pass over Treaders Towers

Didn't hear an AN-26 yesterday but I sure as hell heard one just a minute ago! Similar sort of track.
This same aircraft went over just after 6am this morning and again just after one, same track all times, coming from BHX, but I didn't look where it was going to. Lovely sound.

Dutch Diesel Day... funny aero engine sounds revealed a diesel Robin PH-XYZ, followed a few mins later by a Dutch diesel Warrior/Archer, can't recall the reg. Looked like it headed south into Redhill.
Got to love those AN12's, they keep on ticking along. A private 727-100 flew over Guildford this morning, not that you'd have seen it with the grey clouds, although the acoustics were good.

Apparently the small dot I'm looking at heading east towards Dover is an Aramco Beech 350 which has crossed the pond via a stop at Shannon.
The E-4 left Mildenhall late last night after AF1 stopped in for a gas 'n' go. The E4 as Grimm 99 came south over West London efore heading west towards Lands End but the hazy sky and trees at back of garden made even spotting nav lights impossible!
