Interesting aircraft - what have you seen on your computer today?
Seemed to be heading up to southern Norway. They don't seem to visit the UK much these days outside of the odd airshow. Doe it sound like a Transall, or more like an Antonov ?

From distant memory of occasionally seeing Dutch Atlantics routing Midhurst - Clacton, with those Tynes just like a Transall. Used to see the odd Dutch Neptune too in the 1970s... Don't know what they'd been doing, patrol over the Atlantic, visiting Yeovilton/Culdrose/St Mawgan maybe? German Transalls heading home from Brawdy were a regular sight and sound too.
More like whats not on my PC! After several days last week of US F15s zooming around Somerset they are back today but no FR 24 track so perhaps the Mil folks are looking for a bit more security since there was a lot of local press speculation last week.
All i can think they are doing is being targets for army ground to Air missile practice from Salisbury plain because its not like their usual playgrounds in East Anglia and N Sea were especially busy last week

Danish C-130J hummed NE over London a couple of minutes ago out of Malaga. See a Canadian P-3 headed NW over Eastern London earlier, looks like stopping at Prestwick...
It's more than a bit of a dogleg north-west for Malaga to anywhere in Denmark. I do wonder why so many routings around Europe make a significant bend to pass right over Central London, and turn here. That Saab 340 from Karlsruhe to Dublin does just the same every night.

About halfway between A4 and M4 and perhaps 2/3 mile west of M4 spur.
3.5 miles from the absent gasometer it seems! Close enough for government work...

IIRC, there was some discussion of the gasometer on a previous thread.
