Hopefully a quick question about pensions. Does an ex service person who served for 9 years in the 1980’s qualify for a pension on reaching 60?

If you put up with it for long enough when you do get out the pension is indexed linked. Something to ponder if anyone is thinking of staying beyond an immediate pension point.

I retired a few years ago and was just short of breaching the LTA. Will subsequent index linking take me over the limit or is the 20 times plus gratuity calculation done at the point of retirement?
