Id say you were totally in the wrong. If I was the CFI of that operation, I would probably ask for retraining before you could fly again. Under the helicopter is a dodgy option indeed...

Correct. Austrian per diem rates are state regulated. There is somewhere an Austrian approved country list stating what you will get for where. I can’t find it, maybe someone else can post it?

Didn't think Louisa went to the airlines. She flew corporate jets for a while. She lived in the Cayman Islands and Florida recently, I believe. She was/is an excellent aerobatic pilot.
