This is what I have on good authority;
if you're not Austrian you will be paid by the owner because of the Austrian social security system charges. Depending on the owner you will have to fight to get your money and then another battle to get your per diems, and all the time Avconjet will tell you that the owner is your paymaster not them so you sort it out. Also heard freelancers do a stint, don't get paid then are asked a couple of months down the line to do another, they refuse because they weren't paid for the the last one and then Avconjet panic because they can't find anyone.
The salary and per diems are / can be a abismal, at least that's what you may get, example; 20 on 10 off, F.O. €100, €50 per diems, may be wrong on the per diems might have been 30 I was offered and maybe the salary was 130 but that was a year ago. There is more but it would put the spotlight on people so not sharing.
Reads well doesn't it...................proceed with,at least,extreme caution!

Interesting. I know that there are many nationalities on Austrian contracts, from Germans to Swiss to Brits to Austrians. Per diems in Austria come taxed so you get around 35-60 depending where you go. Salaries I have heard of are industry standard for Captains and low for Copilots. Will ask some guys and see what they say. A lot of them are in Nice and Moscow often.

Avcon jet is a real no go, I know some guys whom left the company within 6 months. You are expected to do administrative work next to your flying job. Apart from that, the salary is really low...
Avcon jet, Windrose Air and some operations at MHS you really have to avoid at all cost!!!

I see this thread popped up again.. Having asked around a bit there are two types of people. The ones that like Avcon and are happy to work at a successful company ( there is no indication they aren't in good shape) and the ones that are bitter because either things didn't work out for them ( owner went bankrupt, aircraft sold etc) or they were just generally this kind of complaining pilot that's so common on prune and in the hotel lounges.. in the end I think it's somewhere in the middle... you can have a good ops or a bad ops I guess.
One thing I heard is the office work is done by new Copilots and is optional. No one had to undertake that work but it benefits your future if you go the extra mile. Like any company in any industry.. I did some extra stuff when I started out.There are some ops where it's agreed the money is decided between owners and pilots.. all agreements with Avcon are apparently honoured.. If an owner wants it that way (and pilots agree to it) then they should really only blame themselves.. Austrian per diems are rubbish and the tax is high in Austria.. Uberwang
