Rumor has it, that it happened due to an inadvertant opening of the rescue chute.

A PC-12 will have a landing speed of around 70 KIAS over the threshold - not exactly fast.
It has low pressure tires and a landing gear that can take a firm landing - and thereby kill some airspeed....

Very unusual for an F-5 - even with both engines flamed out you can keep it flying at 250 KIAS in a 10-12 degree dive....
