Onl;y problem is that 27 is a bit short for training, although 09 is fine.

DD is out of service pending return to Bombardier, DE/DF continue on BHD and GCI. To be replaced by Q400 Jan/Apr.
400 has been trialed at LCY by Flybe, but line crew training not yet complete.

No it doesnt. it may just mean that the aircraft are bigger but still moving the same or more passengers--albeit at less frequency which is not a good thing from the customers point of view.

I think it is quite simply the introduction of larger aircraft. Obvoioulsy of the route can be buiilt the frequency will go back up, or otherwise other destinations will be served--e.g. EXT direct.

All the 200/300 D-8s will be part exchanged by next May to be replaced by a fleet of 21 Q400s...
