Jab,

Looks like the private strip strip, north end of Hinchinbrook Passage, near Cardwell, and former home of a C207 of Townsville fame?

Gees Jabawocky, bit harsh on Paul "the Dude" Morris, he just a clean driver that all them other blokes like to crash into.

Tony Longhurst had the right idea many years ago in the super tourers when him and "the dude" clashed, smack him the mouth.

Stationair8

I am not going to add too much more, hhowever one memorable moment was at Hidden Valley in the NT a few years ago and there had been a first lap bingle few cars partially blocking the track and along comes PM at a great rate of knots from the rear of the grid (poor qualifying time I assume) and smacks right into whats left.

After he claims on national TV that he was not really concentrating on stuff out the window, rather adjusting roll bars or brake settings. Now for those who do not appreciate it......this was 2/3's the way into the first lap......what was he doing fiddling at this point of the race and maybe thhose items you adjust in a straight line when you have clear space........Maybe he just thought he was that far back he would not run into anyone.....unless they almost blocked the track

I live next door to a Sirromet
family business
place which produces his best grapes... and there's too many rocks here to put down an airstrip!

I was wondering about that CF, there does appear to have been a little stress on that wing, is that normal?

Thanks for that Capt F! Very observant of you to pick that up.

The FTDK went into the workshop to be pulled to bits today!

The best way to drive an engineer mad is to sneak two extra bolts into the box of small parts he creates when pulling an aircraft apart.

Well if that's Ambunti, there have been major earthworks since I was there last. Used to be terrain immediately beyond and to the right of the strip.

Pinky the pilot

Looks like Kikori?. What makes it different is that the runway surface is Marsden Matting, making it all weather.

In 1997 I dead sticked a C182 in there after the fan stopped. Come to think of it the weather looks the same as well.
