Zelensky just sacked Ukraine's UK ambassidor - apparently for the latter having criticised the "boss" about not showing enough gratitude for the help given by the UK

True, but it’s already happened with the RU threat against shipping that transits Ukraine ports. Only sure way to resolve it is to neutralize the threat.

Hmmm - Wagner was German….

Armin Papperger, CEO of the arms concern Rheinmetall, has responded to Russian authorities that threatened to view the concern's future plant in Ukraine a "legitimate target". He said Rheinmetall will defend the plant with their own air defense systems.

Found the speech where Zelenskyy deals with the pavement spending issues.

I also spoke with Prime Minister Shmyhal today about another issue that should be considered, in particular, through the prism of justice: budget expenditures. I proposed two steps to the head of the government. The first: to find extra-budgetary funds for projects that are really needed now. There are people in the world who can help. The second: asked the Prime Minister to consider replacing the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine. Separately, I want to appeal to all representatives of local authorities in our country: people should feel that budget resources are used fairly and correctly. Everyone understands what it is about. Paving, decorating cities, fountains will wait - first is victory.

Wtell you do need to have faith in your own product, if not, whose should you have faith in, also a big sales point… built and defended by us.

I do wonder if we will eventually see new updated Gerard's produced, maybe on a Leo 2 chassis and sporting a none Swiss cannon system, with a modern updated radar and fire control system, the thing has become an AD game changer, from what was a redundant piece of kit to a first line effective weapon system.

Evacuation of a wounded using modern tech. ATV is light, agile and fast and a drone as an eye in the sky watching out for the enemy. Rear seater ready to return fire.
Cheap, fast and efficient.

Ukrainians increasing border defence in case Wagner decides to go walkies. Rather a good move on Russias part as the threat no matter how false, ties up Ukrainian manpower sadly.

A common terrorist act from the war criminals of the Crimlin.
The Geneva Convention speaks clearly to that type of crime. The mute testimony of the UN and the other nations that have not denounced Russia as a Terrorist State are complicit in their silence.

The arrest yesterday of Igor "Strelkov" Girkin may be the start of a crackdown on jingoistic "hurrah-patriots", according to an apparently leaked report which is said to have led to his detention. It also denounces many others including broadcaster Vladimir Solovyov…….

5/ The crackdown may go further than Girkin, who is likely to have been seen as a more serious security threat after the Wagner mutiny. Several other people are mentioned in the report, which says they "need to be persuaded to stop whipping up critical hysteria". They include:

6/ 🔺 Andrei Kartapolov and Andrei Gurulev, United Russia State Duma deputies;
🔺 Oleg Tsaryov, the former "speaker of the Novorossiya parliament"
🔺 Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of RT
🔺 Mikhail Delyagin, 'A Just Russia – For Truth' State Duma deputy, who is accused of saying that the ruble might devalue
🔺 Vladimir Solovyov, who is said to host a nightly "gang rape of the authorities" on his show on the Russia-1 channel…..

ORAC,

Thoughts on a preemptive move to clamp down potential pro-war dissenters in the event a pullback of forces?
