https://twitter.com/clashreport/stat...01037265121281 All in good condition though......so must have been recently removed from deep storage and cleaned of cosmo. I'm surprised there's not a load of WW2 German stuff being dug out as well, the USSR refurbished about 6 million German K98k's alone in the 1950's and then put them into storage, along with MP40's, MG34's and MG42's etc. The corrupt officials though have sold a lot of the German stuff to collectors for good money during the past 30 years though, so maybe not much left? The Lend-Lease Thompsons are M1A1's so from 1942/43 era not 1938, and they'll not be any use as they hardly used them during WW2 through lack of .45ACP ammo, so I doubt they'll have much of it to use now...?? |
Various reports coming through that the crimea bridge has been struck again
Greyzone reportAt 03:04 and 03:20, two strikes were carried out on the Crimean bridge by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. One span collapsed, another came off the support, which accounted for at least one hit. Previously, two people also died, one was injured (a child). The brown line continues. |
A video of the damage. Not as exstensive as last time if this is the only damage. However prevents the usage.

The Russian-Appointed Leader of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov has announced that the 145th Pillar on the Kerch Strait Bridge has Collapsed as a result of a “Terrorist Attack” causing a Total Halt in Car Traffic across the Bridge; he further stated that No Damage was caused to the Train Bridge and that Rail Traffic will begin again soon. |

I'd guess the Russian holiday makers might have some regrets.... A few more hits might be called for, the bridge is certainly not going anywhere.
Also a complete and totally unsubstantiated rumor, but russians are reporting that part of the black sea grain deal was that ukraine would not target the crimean bridge. Guess what deal officially ended today ? |

In depth look at the sacking of multiple Russian front-line generals…
NEW: The #Russian MoD has begun to remove commanders from some of the Russian military’s most combat effective units and formations and appears to be accelerating this effort. This effort may significantly demoralize Russian forces fighting in #Ukraine. https://isw.pub/UkrWar071623 |
Video of the damaged part from a passing by train.
I wonder when will they hit the railway bridge. |
Confirms the report from the Russian governor of Crimea that pier 145 was taken down leading to the road collapse, the missing portion is quite evident.
Need an engineer to confirm if that can be repaired, but I would have thought that it would need total replacement for structural integrity. The remaining half supports the other road span. Will the remaining part of the pier retain its structural strength or will the that span be compromised as well? |

Russian officials have reportedly advised tourists to go via Melitopol. That's 50km from the front. What a brilliant idea.
Also, the bridges from Crimea in the north have been targets as well. |
This video shows well how both road spans are damaged. Highly likely that nothing will be moving via the bridge safely for a good while in neither direction.
Still waiting for images of the pylon to emerge. Hopefully the pylon is shot as well. |
Should the question not be: I wonder WHY they haven't hit the railway bridge? To attack the rail piers they’d have to pass under the bridge and circle round to attack from the north. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....84d2747864.png |

EDIT: Was the final outcome of the investigation of the first attack that it was a truck-bomb carried by a Ukrainian agent/sympathiser/unknowing transport driver ? I don't recall anthying after the initial burst of news. |
