. . . didn't Milo Minderbinder do most of those things in Catch 22 ?
IIRC he bombed his own people
Life imitating art?

Ecce Homo! Loquitur...
Not sure of the date, or the prominence, of the video…
BELARUS 🇧🇾 WANTS SOME OF RUSSIA 🇷🇺

- Pres. Lukashenko of Belarus 🇧🇾 has begun to divide the territory of Russia 🇷🇺 and seems to want Russia’s 🇷🇺 Kalingrad.…

If the weapons grade plutonium does its job, surely there is nothing of weapons grade left.
One hopes that scenarrio is avoided, but also hopes that, very shortly after, all Russian forces in Ukraine cease to exist, and soon thereafter Putin either ceases to exist or is put to trial.

Isn't that what Russia has been doing for the last 17 months
The levels of credulity to blatant, clumsy propaganda among so many of the commenters here is simply staggering.
I'd imgained this of all places, to be a bastion of considered, sceptical Professional thought and expertise.
Clearly not.

Even if it goes bang?

Clearing trenches up close and personal.
That seems particularly unfair. The principal contributors are careful to acknowledge when information is sketchy, unsubstantiated or proven false. You yourself are free to challenge things you disagree with if you want. Have you a specific example of this credulity?

Well, if there is a smattering of truth in this then the U.K. training Ukrainian pilots makes sense.
AFR (Australian financial review) are reporting Ex RAAF F-18's are back in the mix.

Nova Khakovka dam has been blown up, causing floods downstream Dnipro all the way to the Black sea.
Makes any troop movements very difficult.
I wonder what this means to the Zaporizhzhia NPP locsted by the reservoir which is now emptying.

The Zaporizhzhia NPP's reactors are all off-line, I have read, but it needs a stable electricty supply to cool the fuel rod pools. I guess this will dry up the canal, that one source of water supply to Crimea, though.

Lots of articles from last October of the effect of blowing the dam.

Well, the Russians have finally blown it up. They've had it mined since last October.
The flooding Looks likely to destroy Ukranian held Kherson, and protect Russian occupied Crimea from attack. Hope it hasn't surprised anyone.

I have not seen any credible public domain studies for how long the six ZNPP reactors can go without external makeup for the cooling water that is in the plant's own ponds. Four of the reactors are fully shut down, the other two offline and in various stages of warmish shut down. These two were producing steam for the area & plant heating & services at least until recently; the end of winter may have caused them to be further run down There is supposed to be approximately two weeks of diesel on site to keep the systems running (coolant pumps etc) in case of the (to be expected, again) loss of the HV grid feeds and so the coolant ponds will be good for at least two weeks. Beyond that I have no insight. This begins to set some timescales and likely will force the Ukraine planners to favour a more central thrust so as to regain control of both the dam and the reactor plants asap.
This will be focussing a lot of minds : I suspect in China as much as in the West.
A reminder that both sides get a vote in a conflict, and also of where the expression "crazy Ivan" comes from. There is not many more stages left on the escalation ladder for Russia now, except for direct damage to the ZNPP reactors, or a tactical nuclear release.
