This aircraft achieved notoriety in 1938 after its pilot mistook a Santa Claus training sortie as an invasion by the Soviet Air Force and opened fire, resulting in one reindeer acquiring a certain identifying feature...

In Sweden, as other Nordic countries, the Authorities show a determination to not let inclement weather stop the children getting to school.
That's why Greta is so brainy ...

During WW2 as Sweden was neutral they could fly anyone's aircraft in any markings. Caused havoc with " Friend or Foe " identification

To aid the spotters log individual aircraft they apply a tail code. In luminous paint 3 foot high.
Zeiss complain it affects their binocular sales

After a particularly difficult landing, Hoskins left a bright yellow ( and brown) stain on the snow

Hoskins thought he would have a go at the Matterhorn, does not need to hire skis..however could not stop when he reached the Finnish line...
