Buster, surely a Sparrow would have been a better choice?
The AIM7-M, with its dual stage motor & longer range is just plain overkill if you ask me. I will, however, concede that the AIM7-P is an intriguing choice with its inverse monopulse seeker & improved low altitude performance, ideal for this type of target.
Having said that...if you were comparing the word Sparrow as both a missile and a bird, then I see your point.

Considering the Sparrow has a longer range than the Sidewinder, I feel the latter would be the better choice in this instance. Initially, I would have suggested the AIM9-D as a proven platform however, considering the camouflage employed on the intended target, I feel the AIM9-L would be the better choice, especially as it has the enhanced background discrimination capability.

Flightglobal ad: Airfield bird control pilot required for immediate start, type rating essential, Canadian Geese clearance experience would be advantageous - contact Egbert Rooster at Feather flight aviation.
Really some outstanding captions, I think, and it's bloody hard to choose between them. I could have picked any of a dozen, but here goes with my top 3:
3rd - Plastic Bonsai with
2nd - Fox3 with

The French wanted to put jet engines on it, until we pointed out it would be called Le Coq Sucker...

Here's an old favourite but, on behalf of all of us here at the caption comp, I'd like to let Kim Jong Un know that we all miss his Dad...

"So, once again. This one for the Dalek voice, this one for the Klingon voice and this one to sound like David Cameron. See? You can be whoever you want to be when you next call up Obama."
Pyongyang was there just a minute ago....I swear I saw it just before the lights went out!
