Military Aviation A forum for the professionals who fly military hardware. Also for the backroom boys and girls who support the flying and maintain the equipment, and without whom nothing would ever leave the ground. All armies, navies and air forces of the world equally welcome here.

When they said they were sending me on a short dog handling course, I thought they meant a couple of bloody days.

You may look puny now, Rover, but this shiny looking force field on my left is the very same that Captain America had to step through to get his makeover - get in there and Hitler's Alsatians will be crapping themselves at the sight of you.

To forestall anyone else inadvertently shooting my foxes, here's a bakers dozen to be going on with:

"Size isn't everything"

"It's not the size of the dog in the fight that counts, but the size of the fight in the dog"

"Little Dogs get bigger every day"

"This miniaturisation business is going a bit too far !"

"It's called 'Keeping a Low Profile'"

"Well, my Mom got out one day and there was this hamster....."

"I couldn't afford anything bigger on my pay !"

"You'd be no use as a St.Bernard - you'd only be able to carry a miniature brandy !"

"Seize him, Tiger !"

The Dachs weren't much impressed by this hund coming after them.

Small is Beautiful !

The MOD decided that their Police Dogs should be in proportion to the size of our Forces.

"Mummy, how much is that Doggie in the Window?" - "What doggie, darling ?"

The US Army, being very PC, took offence at Gibsons dogs name & called their mascot Ethnic Minority.

Yeah, it's MacArthurs dog...but, if it was any bigger, he'd need a bigger pipe.
