No, not so hard to guess. Maybe you have seen me in the a queue at Costa. But then..are you the aussie guy who bought an Inf Q8 after 1 month in training?
Nothing has changed..you will fit right in. But you will start at the bottom of the "seniority" list.
No need to go to MS, you can buy using the allowance.
Quality of life had increased enormously for us after the opt out.

Good luck.

BIdding system works well.
In your 2nd top and top bid you are able to get a string of 10 days off. Perfect to get some fresh air on a short holiday. Works great. Rostering will not put in a duty manually during those days.

He couldn’t have said it any better. The bidding system really works well…you will never see any manual inserts, especially NOT when leave is planned, just like AAR wanted it to be….
This thread might contain some sarcasm….

It might, but it doesn't. It does, however, feature some leaden and painfully constructed attempts at irony. Are you perhaps taking lessons from the Nimrod?

I received many private messages from people asking about the interview process. I do not want to patronise anybody on this forum hoping to join EK. One message said that he hoped to join a company where he was respected and felt proud of the company he worked for.

These decisions have to made by the individual but from the above message I concluded the complete lack of understanding of what people are getting into. There is plenty of positives in EK, the job is 1000 times better once you get your command so DEC may be a good option especially with the comparable salary.

Nobody would ever argue that EK is an airline of Stability, values, integrity , morals. It just isn't. Can you make it work for you? Yes. Can you be unlucky ? yes. Can you be lucky? yes. It is my opinion that it is a gamble for all, excluding those leaving jobs they can't sustain anyway, in which case you have little to lose.

As a career, EK is probably the least stable possible. If you get really ill and lose your medical and don't get it back in 12 months , they will sack you. This may be the same in your current airline. If you make a mistake on the line, they will sack you. This may be the same in your current airline also. Guess it all depends what you are leaving.

It's a big decision, and often it's irreversible. If you do go through with it and can leave your current airline on good terms with an option to return this would be the best insurance policy.

The guys they are trying to tempt are from
airlines which would require a downgrade for them if they joined EK.

You wouldn’t leave many UK airlines these days to join EK. If you do you are crazy . If any DEC wants to do a straight swap with me that might work

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Everybody in EK knows what they are and its very different to the image they like to put out to the rest of the world. Don't be a desperate naive fool.

Nobody should ever trust these repulsive sick people ever again.

Any ideas if emirates is letting guys leave earlier than their 3 month notice? I know some people are using leave and leaving after 5-6 weeks?

Hey fellas,

Anyone here know how long do EK get back to you after you've given them the requested 3 references from your company?
We haven't heard anything yet ever since the last email from EK 2 weeks ago.

Anyone know how long the finalization process takes?
Also we were told that our class is to start in Q3 June 2023 because of their training capacity to handle the numerous of new joiners.

Hi Ondaayyy, just want to clarify. So you guys already finished your assessment and then they asked you for references from your company? Or does this happen before you go to dubai for assessment?

I personally think you'd be f crazy to want to be at a UK airline for many reasons. The UK and EU is dead and will only get worse. You will be slaving away to likely 70yo to fund a ****ty retirement after a boring career. It's easy to think the grass is greener after you've already made your money and had your fun.

Recruitment has definitely slowed down, they are being careful after the covid mess they made! They retrained 1000 plus pilots in less than a year so of course it can be done with the increased training capacity now with them re joiner trainers. It's just an excuse, they would never tell anybody what is going on , Q3 2023 is a long way off, dont waste your time waiting for EK. EU/UK is by far safer in what is expected to be a tough couple of years ahead!

We got the reference email after we've finished our assessment in Dubai. Have you been through this process yet?
