This is the place to find bigoted half whits telling us all how lucky we are to have a job in EK yet the vast majority here are planning their escape which unfortunately often takes time.
Life is far better outside the Middle East! For those who like to be called “Captain Captain” when they visit the dentist , this is the place for you. I suspect that accounts for a good handful.

HR are known for their incompetence rather than for their competence. The numbers that are resigning do seem to be rising and I am flying more frequently with F/Os that are either serving their notice or are in the process of applying for jobs elsewhere.
A hold pool just means you meet the requirements but the company at the moment, is seeking people that have flown a different type or with higher hours.

This is not your forum or thread in the same way EK pilots don't dictate the pace on your Ryanair forum.

Warning to all - this bitch slapping is achieving nothing. Any more personal attacks, I don’t care on what basis, will result in the (involuntary) departure of the bully from that room.

But, truth be told, the incessant negativity is quite draining, especially from the guys who have left (for whatever reason). There are enough posts from the usual suspects about how bad life is in the ME, how bad the company/managers/instructors are, how you would have to be insane or incompetent to try to get in. We get it, we really do, and, by and large, we empathise with you. But whinging on PPRuNe is not going to convince the company to give you your job back, and it is also not discouraging new pilots from applying, and joining.
So please, unless you actually have something new to add, take a break, a pause if you will, let the forum return to being a useful resource. I hope you all manage to move forward with your lives, putting this sad chapter behind you, and finding peace in your hearts.

50% will be on here whining within 2 years 60-80 within 4 - maybe under a different account.
many where seeking an exit, but didn’t as it is way more difficult to get out than in.
what you seem to forget this company destroyed life’s over night, it is easy to stop whining here. Many have given up aviation, forced or voluntarily, many still struggle to find a job inside or out side of aviation.
this platform is not there to just write about the beauty of living in the desert, what many want to hear. For most it’s not a beauty.
the truth is written many many times here sometimes obvious and aggressive, yes packed with emotions, but it’s the truth. People like you in general don’t won’t to hear it because you want the experience. Get that but then don’t complain if the realty is not as you want to have it.
many thought the can handle it. A lot failed.
you may still have a job and like to fly a big shine ek jet. Many did it and have lost everything. So stop writing things like that as prune is a Plattform where people leave their frustration of what happened to them, giving everything, and I mean everything to have a life around this company and at the end the payed big big time for it.

If you want to say anything negative about EK, somebody is always ready to shut you down immediately.
So I will start, the bidding system is working really well for me at the moment. Anybody want any info on the interview process please contact me by PM
Cheers

Re applying after resigning
Has anyone here rejoined after resigning (2018) and reapplied post covid?
Did you have to do the whole assessment process again or do they shorten it for people wanting to return who have worked there before?
Appreciate any info on this, please no silly responses like "why" etc.. each to their own

accelerated onboarding opportunities
You get fast tracked if you resigned. They have all your records so there’s just a short medical form to complete along with an eye test and you are back.
They massively favor those who have previously thrown the towel in so you’ll be straight to the front of line. Just need to send a quick email to one of the girly girls in recruitment and they will arrange your on boarding process. Welcome back.

And you might get your old villa back in MS, closeby the school. When you left the pool wasn't finished but now it is! Laundry and minimarket too! Even a clinic!
