Really, guys, at least take some minimal effort to read the previous posts before you comment on something.
Just 17 pages, we as pilots gobble up information from 1000s of pages.

Just a quick query regarding the 500 PICUS hours requirement. The regulatory authority of my country issues ATPLs on 250 PICUS hours, which we logged by simply getting a list of the PF sectors we flew and getting the list signed by the Chief. We arent allowed to log PICUS on hour logbooks ( signatures etc that is usually the norm)
Do Airbus p2 hours automatically qualify is 50 percent PICUS hours? Or do I have to continue to just fill those unofficial sheets and get them signed by the PIC?

Hello Guys
I applied for the position of Airbus Captain in January but I havent heard anything from Qatar Airways. My application status still shows 'Completed" for almost couple of months.
I am current on A320 with 1300 PIC Hours on type and total time of almost 10000 hours.
Should I withdraw my application and apply again?? Anyone else facing the same issue?
Cheers

As for pilots like myself, there is no official procedure in place that allows us to log the PICUS hours on our logbook. The issue was taken up with the regulatory authority when our ATPLs were being issued and we were asked to log our PF sectors on a separate spreadsheet as PICUS till we reached the 250 PICUS mark. This was obviously done and Captains were helpful as none of them denied signing those sectors for us. The airline management was more than happy to sign the spreadsheet off as well since it was an ATPL requirement.
The spreadsheet does not have any official signatures anymore as beyond the 250 PICUS hours required officially for ATPL issuance I am finding it very difficult to convince the management to sign off these extra PICUS hours. Will the spreadsheet with the line Captains signatures only suffice?

Thank you for your reply. The issue is, that where I come from, the private sector rarely hires non experienced / cadet pilots (straight out of flight school). So they do not have the P1 hours issue.
