What is a good score on the spacial orientation test for the mollymawk ?

And for the mollymawk assessment day, do we need to have a formal attire or we can come wearing normal clothes ?

Is it just gonna be only the mollymawk test and then go home or do we carry on with the next steps straight after the mollymawk if positive ?

Thanks in advance !
Hi. I passed the exam at early of the jan. As you can see my english is pretty bad. Had itep before with overall 4.4 but mollymawk english gave me hardest times. Only able to get 24 or something. But because i passed itep before, they didnt care.

Math science close to training. English too. Math science kind of easy. I get 60 percent with few days of refreshing basics and formulas.

Didnt get aeronautics because im local applicant. Applicated for cadet.

Other sections are mostly not easy . Got 80 at wm, 72 so, 56 ts. Ts is not too hard. Get used to listen 5 figures numbers. Dont waste time at 5 figures minus 4 figures questions. I was expecting harder so kind of paniced while not getting hard questions and only able to did 56. Chill and you will be ok. Do all trainings though.

S.O is soooo different from training. I had like over 90 percentage in last 5 6 times of training but made too much mistake in real exam. Shapes are really different. Check out atpl.tv.

Wm was chilling and in the last parts of 3 hour exam. You get too tired when you get to this point. So get used to handle wm when you tired. You can try 3 in a row in training. But really calmed my mined after all that rush. Complitely same with training but longer.

Second dudes question:

Score in training is misleading at this section. Record your trainings and watch them at 1.5x speed. Helps more then actual training. While you watch them, keep doing the works and keep imagining commands too.

Wear something comfy. Your gonna sit for 3 hours. Two times break. Breaks 5 minutes long.

Mollymawk and go for cadet but for already had licence, not sure. Probably same though.

I applied as a cadet pilot and was invited to take the mollymawk test.

What are the english math physics parts of the test like? What do I have to pay attention to? Do you have any tips? I didn't grow up in Turkey, so I don't know which topics are important in this parts. Are the issues like in the given exercise ?

Are the so,wm and ts like in the exercises ?And anything to consider ?

Is there anything else expected on the day of the mollymawk test except for the test? For example self presentation or something…

Has anyone taken the test and can give me some tips ?

SO was quite different than we practice in the mollymawk practice package. There were more squares and the instructions were a lot faster than we are practicing.
WM is just as in practice, but its longer duration than we practice for. so i felt it kinda tiring.
TS has some larger calculations like hundreds thousands number and also 5 digits subtractions.
Dress comfy for mollymawk, its tiring.
Good luck!

Hey there, I hope you're all doing great!

I'll be in Antalya next Wednesday (January 31) to take Mollymawk. Anyone here for the same date? I'd be happy to get in touch!

I have some questions as the training pack allows only 20 runs for each module. Any help and answer would be greatly appreciated!

1. Time Sharing: Training runs last 10 minutes but as far as I know, the actual test lasts 20 minutes. Is it reasonable to double my test results to get an indication of where my results sit? I've done 6 runs so far and my average is like 2200 pts. I just can't practice it enough because of the limited runs. What portion of the questions are 5-6 digit operations? Are the other operations similar to the practice runs? (3-digit divisions, 2-digit additions, 15-35-45-55-65 percentages, 4-5 digit number recognitions etc., simple 1-2 digit multiplications, 7-8 items of 2-digit highest/lowest/second highest/second lowest sequences and so on)

As for Spatial Orientation and Working Memory: I understand that I'd expect no big surprises. I need to get myself familiar with faster commands and different cube layouts for SO. Expect same thing but longer for the WM. Is it correct?

Thanks in advance for any help! As I said, I'd be happy to get in touch beforehand if anyone will be in Antalya on 31st. Have a nice day and good luck to everyone!

Right, but I have dual citizenship, so I don't think there should be any problems. I'm more worried about the mollymawk😅

Hi, I got an email confirmation after I uploaded my documents. It was something like, "we got your documents, we'll call you back shortly after checking them," and I got an invitation to an English test 15 minutes later. But I hold no ratings or whatsoever (and no hours of course) and I'm a Turkish citizen, maybe the process differs.

Hello everyone, I passed the Mollymawk test. I'll share my experiences and feedback later in the post, but before I want to ask a question for the people who also got passed the Mollymawk stage. Next up for me is psychological evaluation, all I know about this stage is that it's new (for 2024 applicants) and there's no such thing as negative outcome, i.e. getting eliminated from the process. My guess is that it's a complementary stage for the board interview to ease the workload of the interviewers by getting some key answers to key questions beforehand. I also think that it's kind of a CRM interview. I'm told that it's going to take place in Istanbul. I'm Turkish citizen, so maybe it's unique for TR citizens, I really have no idea about it. The people those who have done this stage, could you please give feedback about it? You can either write it here or DM me. It's very much appreciated, thanks in advance.

My Mollymawk experiences (January 2024):

I was invited to Antalya to take the Mollymawk test. I don't reside in Antalya and they didn't offer flights or hotel, so I paid my tickets by myself. The test takes place in SunExpress Plaza which is located very close to AYT. Take a look at T1A tram if you want to use public transportation. It's only 3 stops from the airport and extra 5-minute walk. When you get to the building, you'll be taken to the cafeteria where you can sit and drink hot beverages and water while waiting for your instructor to come and get you. There's also a vending machine with snacks and cold beverages, and a coffee machine for free of use (only the coffee machine, not vending machine). Your instructor will take you a PC room, give a brief explanation for the day and your test will start right away after sound check. (no test runs etc.). A couple of quick words on the PC: Mouse sensitivity is really high, so keep that in mind. Also, the headphones are small, so are earpads. You can adjust the volume.

The test order is as follows:

1. Time Sharing (20 minutes -displayed on the screen-) followed by English test (20 questions - I guess it was 15 minutes -displayed on the screen-).
2. 5-minute break
3. Spatial Orientation (no time displayed on the screen, similar to the MM practice screen layout, but I guess it was 12 minutes) followed by Maths & Science test (20 questions - 40 minutes -displayed on the screen-). You'll be given two A5 size papers and and a pen before starting.
4. 5-minute break
5. Working Memory (12 minutes -displayed on the screen) followed by ATPL exam (if you applied for the cadet position you're asked to skip it) followed by Self Description (100 items). The test then will be finished and your instructor will come and you'll see your results right away.

More details on the aptitude tests and skill tests:

1. Time Sharing: As stated before, it's almost the same as in MM practice runs. My advice would be getting used to recognize 5-6 digit numbers as well. Sometimes you'll be hearing something like, "Please enter: 56784" or "Please enter: 124050" etc. Also, a couple of 5-digit subtractions was also included like: "Please calculate: 12450 minus 750" or "Please calculate: 10500 minus 7600" etc. I tried to do that at first try and typed whatever result I found. You don't have to lose time by trying to find the correct answer as you can always collect more points from easier questions. The rest were same: 3-digit numbers divided by 3-9, multiplications of the numbers between 11-19, finding the highest/lowest/second highest/second lowest numbers in the sequences, finding how many odd/even numbers in the sequences, calculating 15-35-45-55-65-85 percentages of 3-4-digit numbers, simple additions and subtractions of numbers between 10-99, and 1-digit multiplications (5x9, or 47x3 etc.). As for the gauges: Indicators wouldn't be showing red all the time, you just have to check them regularly. They usually show red once you're about the type the answer, or middle of the number sequences. Be aware and you'll be fine. Just try not to do false alarms as they will make you lose points. As for the navigational phase, it's just as the same. Simple and no different layouts.

2. Spatial Orientation: There's a couple of important differences between the real test and the practice runs. First, commands will be faster. I can say it's somewhere between 1.25x-1.5x, and it is fixed speed. It doesn't get gradually faster, it begins with a faster pace and stays the same until the end. I recommend you to record a couple of your test runs, and play it a faster pace to get used to the speed. The other major difference is the cube layout. In the MM practice runs, the cube layouts are always the same. In the real test, there will be different and sometimes bizarre layouts. Also, front face of the cube isn't always the same. You have to be careful with that as well. Sometimes the spider will go and stay on the back/bottom of the cubes, so try to get familiar with the commands when spider isn't visible. You can do mental cube layouts and give imaginary commands to yourself. It would help.

3. Working memory: Completely the same thing with MM practice tests. The only difference is the symbols will be different, but no big deal. Keep doing what you're doing, nothing special.

4. English and Maths & Science: Also same with the MM practice tests. Some questions will be completely same with different numbers, some will be different but solvable with basic reasoning. My questions were of following topics, as far as I could remember: Basic trig calculations (sine-cosine calcs), percentage calcs, L-cm^3 conversions, distance-speed-time relation and basic calculations, height-acceleration-time relation in free fall, moment/torque and calculating the force or distance, bouyancy.

So, I guess that's all. There may be something I missed and forgot, but overall experience was like that. You can also ask different things about MM day if they're not mentioned above. Staff will help you out and they're friendly and smiling people. It's also very nice of them to allow you sit in the cafeteria as you can use everything with the actual employees.

The photo upload feature doesn't work. Dont worry. Just make sure the rest of your application is as complete as possible. Good luck.

Hello! I passed Mollymawk later in the month. From my understanding, recruitment process is different for those who applied to be cadets and those who have already their licenses. I'm in the former group and I was invited a psychological evaluation. I believe that it's not a process for the already pilots. Then I have video interview, and then board interview and finally sim check. I tell all of these because I was recently told by the HR that they plan to complete the whole process before March ends latest. Considering I have still 4 steps to go, they go quick and I believe you'll be called in in no time.

Hi guys, I’ll leave my feedback here from October,2023 in case anyone gets called.

My background : 22yr old, 230hrs TT, EASA cplmeir,MCC/JOC on a320. No degree , south Asian origin, eu passport

I sent my documents late July and I got the email from HR to send the documents the next day, I did not have the English language certificate with me so they asked me to get it done and send as soon as possible. I did ITEP because it was the fastest and cheapest, also you’ll have a big chance of getting high marks than ielts. Once I sent the itep certificate they immediately sent the invitation for mollymawk, I had to go pay and download the test, hr asked me to tell them when I am ready to do the test at their hq. You get 20 runs for the 3 aptitude tests and 2 runs for English, maths/ physics and ATPL. I strongly recommend to practice of pass before you use the runs on the official mollymawk practice test because it’s limited to 20 and you can maximize your scores after a bit of understanding and practice on pass. Once you tell hr they book you in for the mollymawk test in Antalya. You go there and get it done, don’t worry if you fail because you get a second chance which I got failing one module. You have to get more than 25% for the modules to pass on the official test at the hq . This is not a score rather a comparison of results based on the same age so even though you get high scores on the practice runs make sure you do your max on the test because I know a few who got more than 90% on the practice runs but didn’t make it on the official exam. When you pass the mollymawk,hr books you in for the sim ride which can be ffs in AYT or fixed base in IST ayjet flight school. They want to see good flying skills, and if you make a mistake or two it won’t matter. For me it was LTAI DERYA1T which they send out on the briefing pack, no AT no FD then descend 1000fpm while turning, ils raw data to 36C twice,(on the briefing pack the tell you that you’ll get to use FD for the ILS but assessor decides this based on your first approach performance) and also a visual circuit to 36C. I thought I failed this because I messed up the SID but miraculously I passed. Approaches and the rest were good I guess. Next you’ll face the final interview with two captains, hr lady and the aviation psychologist. This interview is famous for being hard, I failed this part but I think it’s very doable. It lasts approximately more than 1 hr and they ask you technical questions, Hr questions and tests your geographical knowledge and general knowledge about aviation showing pics of different cockpits, aircrafts and questions about them. I couldn’t answer some basic questions though. Usually the final interview is booked in after you get the positive reply from the sim but the word around is that SunExpress needs a bunch of pilots so they have expedited the recruitment process, my final interview was booked in even before I did the sim.
Excuse the grammar and spelling.

Thx for your feedback and effort! It is hard to read. You could use ChatGDP: "I submitted my documents in late July and received an email from HR the following day. Unfortunately, I didn't have my English language certificate, so they requested that I obtain it as soon as possible. I opted for ITEP as it was the quickest and most cost-effective choice, offering a higher chance of obtaining impressive scores compared to IELTS.

Once I sent the ITEP certificate, they promptly issued an invitation for the Mollymawk test. I had to make a payment and download the test, and HR instructed me to inform them when I was ready to take the test at their headquarters. The Mollymawk test consists of 20 runs for the aptitude tests and 2 runs each for English, maths/physics, and ATPL.

I highly recommend practicing and passing the official Mollymawk practice test before using up the 20 runs, as they are limited. After informing HR, they scheduled the Mollymawk test in Antalya. If you don't pass, don't worry; you have a second chance. To pass the official test at the headquarters, you need to score more than 25% in each module.

Keep in mind that the scores are not absolute but rather a comparison based on the same age group. Even if you score high on practice runs, strive for your maximum in the official test. Passing Mollymawk leads to HR booking you for the simulator ride, which could be a full-flight simulator (FFS) in AYT or a fixed base simulator in IST at Ayjet Flight School.

They are primarily looking for good flying skills during the simulator ride. Making a mistake or two is acceptable. In my case, the assigned route was LTAI DERYA1T, involving specific maneuvers such as descending 1000fpm while turning and executing raw data ILS approaches to runway 36C.

After passing the simulator ride, the next step is the final interview with two captains, an HR representative, and an aviation psychologist. This interview is known for being challenging, and although I failed, I believe it's manageable. The interview lasts over an hour and covers technical questions, HR-related inquiries, and tests your geographical and general knowledge of aviation by showing pictures of various cockpits and aircraft. Some questions may be basic, so be prepared.

Typically, the final interview is scheduled after receiving a positive response from the simulator ride, but in my case, SunExpress expedited the recruitment process due to the high demand for pilots. My final interview was even booked before I completed the simulator ride. Please excuse any grammar and spelling errors."
