Hello, what are the requirements in terms of hours and is it available for NTR?

Mlambin 26th Jul 2023 12:12

There is no hours requirements and it is available for NTR.

ptflying 26th Jul 2023 13:49

I'm having trouble completing the application without hours on ac above 27 tonnes, it seems to not accept "zero" as an option

IFLYyouBREATH 26th Jul 2023 14:37

When are planned the next assessments ?

Mlambin 26th Jul 2023 15:36

There are no fixed date for the next assessments but you may expect them later this year to be ready for the summer 2024

SeZo82 26th Jul 2023 17:59

I have applied half a year ago and no reply since. NTR low hour FO. But your company is very simpathic for me.

JoeDarke 26th Jul 2023 21:32

I applied in March with no response (yet). Should the application still be considered denied and if so, is it possible to reapply?

Mlambin 29th Jul 2023 13:59

I would suggest you to keep your application up to date with your latest ratings expiring dates and other new informations.
You application is more likely still in the system as 4 months is not that much time.

Is the information here accurate? https://www.pilotjobsnetwork.com/jobs/SunExpress

I take it no more turkish nationality requirement?
So assuming 100h duty hours, i can expect a FO pay of 3900? Do you know how high the type rating cost monthly deductible is?
I suppose they also want you to live in Turkey/on base?

Full time base in Turkey, no commuting option as far as i know. Main bases are ADB and AYT. Sabiha Gokcen base is closed already.

Most Turkish companies made adjustment to its pays in recent months, I believe now should be bit better than before.

The website is accurate enough yes.
Regarding nationality, this isn't the case, you may apply as none Turkish. Maybe the chance are smaller for none Turkish due to DGCA rules.
Your salary calculation seems nice too, I would add that the duty goes lower in winter then higher in summer, up to 150, so this would be an average calculation over the whole year.
Yes you need to live in Turkey. Commuting with the roster is impossible.

Hi Mlambin
You probably received several notifications as I quoted your message but due to some weird bugs, I ended up by deleting my message and writing this new one. Sorry for that.
I asked some few questions and I would be thankful if you could help on that:
- how many hours can be expected during winter?
- are you enjoying life in Turkey and is the language an obstacle?
- regarding the salaries mentionned in pilotjobsnetwork, are they before or after income taxes? (apparently in Turkey, the income tax is directly cut from the salary by the employer)
Thank your in advance

Hello,

No problem, i'm happy to help.

You can expect between 25-40hours during the slowest month of winter. This said, your duty should be around 60-70h and this is how your salary is calculated ( without night payment or layover et).

Life in Antalya is good and relaxinx, you can do a lot of outside activities. The language is not so had to get the basics that will help you daily but don't expect to speak English easily with everyone, most of them have a vary basic English. I wouldn't say it's an obstacle but more like an extra difficulty when you have some administrative duties.

Salaries are all talked After taxes.

Thanks a lot for your feedback. Just one last question regarding the roster, is-it fixed or not? some airlines like RYR have a pattern of 5 on, 4 off and I'm wondering if it would be feasible to go home at least once a month for some few days.
(It is not to complain but just to have a good understanding of the conditions)

spiffolo 31st Jul 2023 16:20

applied in april too, no news yet(but they might start soon), now updated all the info with the new medical and checks, im posting in the thread to keep me up to date about any info people might ask:ok: i actually do have a question, i applied to airdolomiti, didnt pass the DLR(failed the psychometric test aparently:ugh:) will that hinder my chances heavily?

JoeDarke 31st Jul 2023 16:48

Also a similar question I just thought of — are English tests such as TOEFL necessary for the application? To clarify, I have a level 6 ICAO.

Mlambin 1st Aug 2023 11:04

Answering a few questions at once.

No fixed roster possibilities. I wouldn't count on that at all expect after upgrade when you can ask for a commuting contract.

Regarding the DRL, I don't think it can affect your application. You will go through the Mollymawk and hopefully it will work!

Finally, regarding the English test, unfortunately it is a necessary step, no work around here

Edit: Blueskyforever, your private message box is full, I can't answer you back.

Thanks Mlambin.
In your case, you cannot go home just time to time for some fews days? I read somewhere that there are no holidays the first year but if the schedule is published well in advance for pilots, I do hope that one can manage to go home time to time even for 3 or 4 days.
