6000 is still too much. With accomodation it will get close to 7000. And yes above that you even have to pay for an online assessment test (probably the same test that all candidates take when applying to Ryanair). I don't see the point for all that.
For €9000 you can do a standard MCC/JOC three times over.

Only a small percentage of cadets being hired by RYR have done the APS. All the others the standard MCC/JOC. In other words, the APS is not needed to get into RYR.

The APS is absolutely not needed as many have said. Preparation is key for any airline assessment so hire a 737 sim for a couple hours before your assessment, providing you make it that far and you should be ok. 9000 Euros is a ludicrous amount of money to pay in todays market.

Yes, that's what I said that. It's a total waste of money especially If you already have an MCC. You just need a couple of hours in a 737 sim to prepare for the assessment. For 10 k you can pay for a type rating!

I received the link to the online assessment a little over 2 weeks after applying. 2 days after finishing the test, I received a positive email back stating that I would be put into a holding pool for the dublin assessment. How long did you guys wait until you received a date and how much notice do you get beforehand?

True, doesn't worth that money either. It's more than double the real price. Ryanair offers only one major advantage. A fast career. If this worths 30k is another issue.

Can you please provide a feedback about the online test? Someone says that the test was modified and now you get only 4 tests, Questionaire,Multi Tasking test, Missile test and Spatial Orientation test, is that true? No ATPL questions?

I would disagree that it’s double the real price.

Yes they make some money but not as much as people make out.

Fixed base SIM= 12 sessions
FFS= 7 Sessions
Line Training = 60? Sectors

At my first outfit it was 7 Sims LST and on to the line training from 250 hrs I didn’t feel ready.

If I left within first year I would have had to pay back £18k.

Yes it is basically a training school but seriously the training is very very good. I have seen guys trained on b737 from some well known places and honestly they were shocking.

Once you add everything up the mark up is not that much.

Obviously no one should be paying for TR anyway.

Oh and RYR allow cadets access to fixed base trainers when ever they want outside of lessons.

Do you guys know until when RYA is planning on hiring cadets ? It seems they hired many lately. Will this keep going for long?

True, Ryanair has a great training department and overall it's a great career opportunity. However, I have a friend who payed 10k for a 737-400 type rating in a small airline and a couple of others that were charged 16k for an a320 type rating with deduction from their salary. Of course this was before the pandemic.

No firm sourced information on how long Ryanair will continue, but, having had conversations with people who may be in the knowledge I guess for some time yet. With O'Leary looking to expand ad finitum then one would expect that he needs to keep filling up the spaces that are occurring in his present crew. Word is no interest from pool of available crew willing to join in Eastern Europe, Buzz for example. This is a result of the recent Special Operation of a State run by an allegedly mad leader. This terrible war is impacting in so many ways it's impossible to calculate in any industry.

The aviation business is being impacted by this war. However it may perversely improve opportunities for new entrants into the business. Weird but that's a possibility.

Ryanair presently seems impervious to world affairs. Again weird, but hey life is not perfect.

Anyone heard of any cadets being unsuccessful in the interview in Dublin and a year later reapplying and getting the job?

I haven't heard about anyone who was called for the second time. Nobody of my friends as well. Do you already have a feedback that you are rejected or still waiting for the response?

I attended an interview in Dublin last year in September and unfortunately my assessment was not successful. Now, I checked my profile on Careers and it is unfrozen, I can reapply.

Ryanair

Is it true that most of the cadets pilots that apply with Ryanair don't pass from the first time. Sometimes they have to apply 3 times to be offered a job. Thankyou
