Hi all, does anyone know if I do not have a EU/U.K. passport (I have a visa that allows me to work in the U.K. only), would I be able to apply for the AFA cadet? I have only EASA license too. Thank you!

Guys, some latest feedback. It seems that a particular instructor will position you close to the runway for your raw data approach, be aware anything around 12NM you need to configure straight away or else you might get unstable, remember if you are not happy, go around.

want to know more on the Ryanair assessment? How to pass the RYR assessment

Guys,

I received information on October 17 that I had been added to the holding pool and to this day I have not received an answer regarding the date of the interview. Does anyone have a similar situation?

Have heard of a couple of U.K. only fATPL holders getting invited to an assessment recently. What Iím not sure of is, should they be successful, whether they will be asked to convert their licences (more £££) as has been the case in recent years.

The website clearly states EASA only, but has anyone any experience of this recently? Do they have a U.K. TRTO?

they are hiring a small number of UK CAA licence holders. No need to convert

Hello,
I applied to Ryanair/Buzz on 06/12/2022 and had an unsuccessful assessment on 27/01/2023. After that I was told by hr that i have to wait one year until i can reapply. Does this one year count from the date of applying or the date of assessment?
Does anyone know how this reapply work? Do I need to do anything or just simply updating my one and only profile?

LG

Nobody knows. Someone got info to reapply after 6 months someone like you after 1 year .. one replied more up in this thread few weeks ago that he did 2nd chance sim assessment after 7 months since 1st sim assessment failure .. soo i think its random.
You are not able to reapply to the same "job item / offer" you are able to re-apply to new job item/offer also today ...=> from time to time they pull old job offer and create new item/offer with the same description with the same parameters .. only change is that you can apply to the position again because from "programaticall/system" perspective its different job offer because it has different record in database.

In rejection mail there is usually info how to proceed. Unfortunately its very abstract: "Nothing is guaranteed, THERE IS NO TIMEFRAME, If you are interested keep updating your docs and profile data, In case we are interested in future we will contact you"
Few weeks ago the same words were told by Angelo during Live IG FAQ stream.

If HR tell you something "Tell your friends we are hiring, In case you fail you can reapply in xyz months .." -> i think its only kind of CORPORATE BULL*HIT TALK to keep you engaged otherwise I really do not understand why they do not provide you also instructions how to do it, how to reapply ... by mail ? by phone? ..How? ... basically in FAQ, it is written, if you try to apply other way than official way you can be rejected because of possible "canvasing" attempt. So HOW ?

I managed to reapply by writing an email to AFA and asking if I could be reconsidered. This was after 8 months in July. A month later they emailed me back and sent me instructions for a new online assessment.

I ultimately elected to go a different route so I didn't try again.

It's actually pretty simple. If they want to offer another assessment they will contact you so all you need to do is keep your profile up to date. Simple as that

How did HR tell you that? You mean the unsuccessful email from AFA or? I never heard they mention time frame for when to reapply, just to keep the profile updated. Some get called again after 6 months, 1-4 years or never

Buzz has this €6k upfront package, and 4-5 years bond (if i remember well). There was an open day here in Hungary, and I kept the HR lady email address, so when I got the bad news that my assessment was unsuccessful, I emailed her. She replied: "Referring your question of when you can reapply, please note that 12 months period applies before next attempt." Once again it was Buzz, not the Ryanair.
