It is true, but… Ryanair Mentored programm guarantees that you will go to the assessment, nothing more, no sucess is guaranteed, only the visit in Dublin. However if you finish generic mcc, you still have a chance to get job in Ryanair, thats the way I came. It’s a good advice to graduate generic mcc, do your best and try to apply to AFA self sponsored type rating course as Ryanair offers right now. If you will not be called for an assessment, you can try other company, and save some money on mcc. I think 39 shouldn’t be an issue. I’n sure you can get the job, if not in Ryanair, maybe somewhere else. Don’t give up bro and keep trying. All the best for you

I don't think it worths paying almost 10k just to avoid the online assessment. You still have to pass the real assessment in Dublin which is not easy and nobody guarantees that you will pass it just by having completed an aps mcc. Also, even to get accepted to the Ryanair aps mcc you have to take an online test! So instead of taking this test it's better to apply directly to Ryanair.
I have a simple 20-hour mcc which costed me 2500 euros and I got an invitation so I don't think it worths it. You can pay for 2-4 hours in a 737 sim and get yourself very well prepared for the assessment. The problem with Ryanair is that they are a little bit racists against late 30s guys..

Probably an exception If we are talking about cadet level and probably when there was great demand (2017-2019). But these times are long gone..

How can you be giving advice to people when you actually said that you didn't even pass the initial online assessment?

I'm terribly sorry for having the right of freedom of speech. I didn't know that only those who have passed the assessment can express their opinion. I guess I'm not qualified to give any advice?
Did I say something unreasonable?
I just told him to apply directly to Ryanair instead of paying ~9000 euros just to avoid the online assessment.

I have heard their off the record limit is 39 but it all has to do with the demand. If industry recovers to pre covid levels 100% even older guys will have a chance.

APS Mcc costs less than 9000 euros. AFA offers it for 6000. Even when you go to the Ryanair Mentored programm, you always have to pass the online assessment. It’s Gateway 2, but they require that you pass online assessment in the company that makes the Ryanair Mentored aps Mcc

VA charges it ~8300 euros and if you take into account accomodation it will reach 9000.
6000 is still too much. With accomodation it will get close to 7000. And yes above that you even have to pay for an online assessment test (probably the same test that all candidates take when applying to Ryanair). I don't see the point for all that.

You should talk to people who have done the mentored programme and get feedback from them instead of assuming nonsensical stuff. Should probably spend some time figuring out how to get through an online assessment.

Is it grade on a scale from 1-10 or is a written statement from my HoT enough as a "grade"? It doesnt really mention that so want to make sure before I send in my papers.

Thanks!!
hey Dude, the „grade”, they mean that HoT will provide information about number of attempts to the practical exams. If you passed all for the first time, this information will be enough for recruiters.

Hi, does anybody know what is the time between the moment of application and the time you receive the e-mail to do the online test?

If they are interested, it’usually between 3-10 working days

Obviously they prepare you very well. I have no doubts about that. But does it worth paying 6000-8000 euros + accomodation?
You should probably stop acting like a kid trying to insult me and behave like a man.
Thanks for the advice. Highly appreciated..

From my knowledge it depends. I had questions mainly from 737 and differences between NG and 8200. Some people had questions about ME aircraft (eg Seminole, Seneca), other were asked about simple things from single engine aircraft like carburator icing etc. My advice is to prepare as well as you can from single, multi engine and 737 as well
