Just a tip, if you think you will JUST be able to reach this, stand a little closer to the wall when they get you to do this, as you will reach further than if you are standing away from the wall (obviously). If you search the CC forum for 'EK arm reach' it should give you the page on this thread where I posted the figure after the last open day.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

That's already one step closer to becoming EK's next flight attendant!
3 people of our group of 4 have received a phonecall telling that they're in. (still depending on the results of your medical exam though).
So I just wait, and wait some more, and be very nervous in the mean time...!
The medical exam is really something; X-ray, bloodtests, ears, eyes, vaccinations and so on. And all for your own expense....
So becoming a flight attendant for EK is quite an investment so far, but I sure hope it pays off!

When I know more, I'll post something.
Keeping fingers and toes crossed for myself!

medical exam

Hey Xana,

Don't worry! You really don't have to take any medical exams unless you are officially hired by EK. So don't panic about it!

Melbourne Open Day in Feb - response?

Hi All

I attended the Melbourne Open Day in early Feb this year.

They said that if we recieved a call that day before 6.00pm that we would be invited to a group interview the following day.

If wedidnt get a call, our resumes would be taken back to Dubai to be further assessed. They told us all that if we didnt get a call that day, it was not an automatic 'no' answer.

Still to this day, I havent heard anything. Is this normal? Do I still have a chance?

Wink Just a message from a new member

Hi there,

I've been reading and following this forum for a few weeks now and I found it really useful, so thank you so much for sharing. After about 2 weeks submitting the online application I get an invitation for a premilinary session on 4th April in London, if anyone coming along please drop me a line. This is my first try-out, I won't keep my hope too high cus I'm so crap at interview (thaz why I'm still jobless) with these contributions from those of you who did it before me I promise to do my best and I'll post the processes and tips here as much as I can to help the others.

Gotta go now but will keep you guys update.

@xana

Hi Xana,

Just make yourself a nice cup of tea and start at the beginning (a.k.a. nr 1) and read, read and read. You will find all the answers you need.
Any questions left? Don't hesitate to ask...
Still no news....
ciao!

Question Emirates interview in Dubai

Hi all,

Am going through Dubai on my holidays this year and some co-workers FA informed me that i can apply at theie head office in Dubai and receive an automatic interview seeing as though i have flying experience. Is this true and if so how do i go about approaching them??? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Cherrie

Thats correct, u can go for a direct interview in DXB if you have previous flying experience. You will need to contact the recruitment office in DNATA main headquarters. I can find the number for u if you want although you should be able to find this on the main group careers website.

Try and get an interview in DXB, its a lot easier to pass through those interviews or at least have yourself shortlisted!
