Hi first of all i am sorry to ask a silly question but it was annoyed in my doubt that is anyone under 163 but got recruited as a QF cabin crew? I knew they required a person height 163 for safety reason. I might give up because i miss just 1.5 CMs. Thank you for sharing your knowledge-based. Cheers

Hi there, I believe they state the minimum required height on the website, and application. Have you done an AD? One of the first activities is measuring height, so I imagine anyone who does not pass would be asked to leave

Jetconnect/Qantas Auckland

I also have got through the the assessment stage on 8 Oct in Auckland and my references have been contacted. Some of you in Australia have had emails stating active hold etc. I haven't had any communication at all. Is anyone else on this forum had the same situation.

If you done your interview / assessment day in AKL then you will be Auckland based crew on A jetconnect contract. if you are long haul then you can operate on 737 across the trans-tasman and then operate on A380, B747. Jetconnect have a SH and LH base in AKL. If you are LH then you are endorsed on 737, 747 & 380 aircraft type. There working conditions / pay are alot worse than QCCA (Australia based crew)

New recruitment ads for Qantas FA Jan 2016

Hi everyone can anyone give a rough idea of what sort of pay and conditions are being offered with the current recruitment drive at QF? Current ad does not give anything away which is frustrating as I dont want to waste time applying and paying for things if it clearly is not for me at the end of it. I'm interested in International or mainline but not regional and currently live in Perth but happy to relocate. would also be interested in London.
I saw that EBA 11 is being negotiated but cannot work out what a new FA might earn so any info would be appreciated

Hi Louise Kelly,

What current ad are you referring to? The only ad at the moment is for expressions of interest for QantasLink Sydney.... unless I have missed something?

I saw on Instagram that a GS class just graduated, and another one very shortly, and a new one started today. Hopefully this means that preparations for new classes will be happening soon

Was informed at the assessment in Oct in Auckland that Ground schools would be in Jan in Sydney. I have had references checked and was hoping to get contacted in regards to getting my medical underway, but have had no correspondence at all. Is it usual to hear nothing. It's been over 3 months.

I was asked if I wanted long haul or short haul. I said I'd prefer long haul and that's when they said the training would be 3 weeks in Auckland and 5 weeks in Sydney and would start late January! Not holding my breath as I haven't even been asked to do the Medical.

Hi guys just wondering if anyone knows the best way to contact the recruitment team? I was planning on emailing the address we have received our active hold emails from unless anyone can help me out.
As I've stated above I have done refs and now on active hold, but have been offered a new job which would mean withdrawing my QCCA application, which I don't want to do but the last 2 emails I received mentioned reapplying.. I'm hoping they might be able to reassure me I am still in the running etc!
Will let you know if/ when I hear back 😊

Hi guy's,
Those of you that are interested i though id share some info. I've just had a trip with a manager whom does a lot of training of new recruits. He advised that there aren't any further ground schools planned this financial year due to budget restraints and the ground schools that were planned have been pushed back until the new financial year. Its never a quick recruitment process especially with QF International simply because of the massive numbers of applicants. I know it can get frustrating but the best advice is to hang in there. Recruitment do not have a contact number even for current staff. I can tell you that they will not confirm anything about possible future ground schools and when they might commence cause of how often these change. Good Luck
