Hi everybody!
Hope you're all doing great!
Just wanted to give you a bit of an update.
My training is on Main fleet and we were officialy told several times during last week, there will be no 380 groups in the near future. All bases. As always, fake rumors circulating. They are focusing on Main fleet until further notice.
Ground schools will continue in the next year, every few weeks, just like till now. There were so many courses going on that we here on the forum didn't know about. Almost every week.
Mn64, many 'forumers' in my group an we're all waiting to see when you'll join us! Your legendary posts have gained quite the audience!

Aww thank you, now I'm feeling shy :P hopefully in a good way :P
I am truly looking forward to meeting everyone, we'll have to come up with a way to identify ourselves in a subtle way haha

This is pure speculation on my part, but they just did a HUGE recruitment drive for crew, and there are loads of people waiting at various stages of the process (reference checks, ASIC etc.), so I suspect that it may be a while before they recruit again?

Hahahah Mn64 did you just get the same email I did... Saying Merry Xmas, your app is still on hold etc? A friend of mine did also... Its a good sign, basically they just want us to hang in there which is pretty much what we know and are doing...

It did but I know we will be fine and get through pending the medical. It would be pretty cruel for them to send us this email saying "It's a good time to be working at QF" and then follow it up with a rejection email. That would be devastating but don't think it will happen. Merry Christmas to all on here and lets look forward to a Happy New Year with lots of positive news from QF...

Active hold email
Hi I got the active hold Merry Christmas email as well.
I applied in May and did my AD in BNE in August but for SYD base.
ASIC cleared but no medical as yet.
I'm not very active on here but love reading all your entries.
Mn64, Sarah77 and Littleeg are you all applying for SYD base?
Hoping for some good news in the new year. Fingers crossed.

Yes I have applied for Mel 1st, Syd 2nd. Mn64 is for Syd base. Good luck to us all. There is definitely enough information on this forum for us to release a book on "The Airline Recruitment" process I think hahahaha...

I also just got that Christmas active hold email! I swear everytime I start reading those active hold emails I think it's going to be a rejection letter�� But I guess it's good to know they haven't forgotten about us.
Just a quick question, have any of you guys lived overseas and completed your ASICS? Just wondering what documents you had to get from the country that you lived in? Was it just a police check? Just want to get it all organised.

For the Asic you need to provide a police check from every country you lived in.
Not sure if it's 6 month or one year time frame though.
I was lucky to have mine before leaving every country I lived in.

X'mas hold email
Hi All..
I also received that X'mas hold email. as soon as I saw email coming from SHQ recruitment my heart is always pumping really fast...LOL!
I'm in the middle completing my medical.
I have asked them when is the next GS in 2017, they still don;t know yet but as soon as the business dates release they will let us know.
If I applied for Melbourne, do you think still OK to change for SYD?
I'd love to join Mainline out of SYD???? is this possible to do???
well.....have a merry christmas n happy new year to all of you that have got their golden call and for those of you still waiting like me...wish you all the best ...maybe we meet at ground school....:-)

AD: 13th July in Mel ( applied for Sydney base )
reference check start: 2nd Aug
reference check done: 18th Sep ( I know! Long story! everyone has one or more anyway, don't we? lol)
update email: 27th Sep (still through internal processes)
update email: 7th Oct (internal processes)
update email: 25th Oct (active hold)
update email: 14 Dec (Merry Christmas, active hold and no process this year)
