I had my AD on 30th August and reference checks. Patiently waiting for the next step.
I am a non-flyer, but hoping to be one soon!!
Fingers crossed for the New Year.
Have met a few people not on the forum who have been waiting since May this year. I hope it happens for all of us soon!

GS SYD BASE Jan 11th
Just got my golden call guys!!!!!!! I start GS 11th Jan 2017 woohooooooo!!!!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone that is still waiting!

For anyone wondering my timeline is as follows:
- May 2016 applied for international flight attended base Sydney
- June 17th received email invitation to conduct online video interview
- Aug 19th Received invitation to attend AD on the 30th of August
- August 31st received email invitation to proceed to Xref stage
- Sept 2nd received confirmation that ref checks were completed
- Sept two emails thanking me for my patience and one email stating I was on active hold for up to 12 months
- Oct 4th ASIC email invitation
- Nov 15th pre employment medical email
- Nov 29th golden Call!!!! 🤗🤗

Hi guys very exciting, the inside goss is mainline (which all other ground schools have been so far, and most are projected to be) is getting the 787 but who knows! Also training isn't on that in initials, won't be for a while

Assessment day though was 30 Aug.
When I got the active hold email, I decided to travel for few month, now I cancelled half of the travels.

I've made it through with VA to a January Ground School but have always wanted to work for QF.

I have genuinely been waiting for QF's call for applications for a couple of months now! But nothing has been posted on their careers website lately. So I'm worried (and assuming) that any recruitment won't happen until after GS starts with VA. So you're right when you say it's probably the better option.
I am very appreciative still with my succes with VA, but you win some and lose some I guess.
