Hiiii, yes I'll be looking for a place and fellow flat mates.. haven't started yet as I live 1&1/2 south of Sydney so was just going to travel for the time being but I've been thinking it would probably be smart to live with other cabin crew as there will be a mutual understanding and respect for the shift work. Have you received ground school dates yet?

From what I have heard (I have friends/family that work at QF) the recruitment will be ongoing for a long time due to the new 787's arriving, retirement of crew etc so hang in there and hopefully it won't be too long for us.

Hi sorry!
Got busy so will reply now
Yes you can wear Fitbit / Apple Watch totally allowed (I wear mine all day)
When you land isn't counted as a day off that's just the rest of your duty day (which is good for mel base most landings are in the morning)
Training in gs for EPs was very not 9-5, some 6am starts some 2pm starts
But you're all in it together so it works out fine, plus free instant coffee in the training centre!
Days off in ground school for me were mainly single days off with one full weekend
Also cca320 ask your dentist to email it to you and just get it put on a disk at the library
That's what I did

Hey Sarah77 nope mine said 'due to high number of applicants we have put you on active hold until more positions become available' or something along those lines. It didn't mention a time frame. Anyone else get that?

Hi All! Will anyone be looking for a place to live in Sydney in early January? I start ground school in Sydney on the 11th of January relocating from QLD and am currently on the hunt for somewhere to live or people to live with!

I have never flown, so it'll definitely be interesting. My family friend was a flight engineer for QF for 35 years, and I told him today about my situation. He said, good luck! You'll be forever tired haha

I do speak three languages, and when I got the call they said I will need to do a language speaking test.
However After the congratulations email, I did not get the contract / us visa/ or even the test, am sure it will come soon, but I am on holidays so won't be able to do anything before next year.
