Ahh lucky you only had to wait a couple of days in anticipation, hehe. I was at the 8/12 AD. I wonder if they also contact applicants depending what they put as to how soon they could start...

Yay-yay-yay! I got the Active Hold for Akl GS letter today as well... obviously pending medical and security... how exciting! Seems they have been very busy with the whole recruitment process. It cant be easy for them! I think they took so long because they had to choose the best!

did you apply for Melb or Syd base? Are you coming going to Syd just for training? I'm a bit confused as to why everyong is getting the call (mine was an email with medical and ASIC) are starting in Syd Feb 8th - also have you done medical? I am having medical next week and criminal form have been processed, and my GS does start until the end of Feb.
someone mention medical is just a general with Drug test, I must have different forms - my medical forms have every test possible.

hi goldcoast1, im based in melbourne but going up to sydney for the first week of training on the 8th of feb. i have no idea how jetstar are working this all out, cos people have been getting calls/emails at different times, but majority have the same start date. i recieved an email first saying i was on the active hold list, then a few days later i received a call saying id gotten the job, and then i did the medical and security checks

yep very confusing - we are going to Melb for one week of training, (don't know what week yet) how did you find the medical, mines next week, but reading the medical forms it looks like they are checking every inch of the body, did you have proof of vaccinations (I don't)?

where abouts are you based that your coming to melbourne for a week? the medical wasnt difficult at all, they just go throught the checklist that you get emailed, so make sure you bring everything with you, cos they forward the forms to jetstar when your done. basically you have your eyes and hearing checked, height/weight recorded, then the doctor checks your airways etc and askes you a few questions. i have a immunisation record book from when i was born that mum has noted everything in, if you have something else like that then bring it. i had to get a hep A vaccination so be prepared for needles if you need any shots! i wouldnt stress too much about it, i was a bit apprehensive, i didnt know what to expect either but its fine!

that doesn't sound bad, I ticked no for everything, but just assumed they would make me jump through hoops to prove all was OK, not more stressing. Do not know where we'll be but GS starts Feb 22, but have been told one week in Melb.

hey guys!!! I was at sydney 16th dec for AD for sydney based cabin crew, and still havent found out any info yet!!! i had 2 reference checks but no email from jetstar!! does any1 know whats going on?? any info would be appreciated!!! thanx

And i am starting next monday.
Dont worry, there are alot of syd apps waiting.
Got all my contracts in the mail today.. exciting!
But oh so much to fill out!

I was at that RD too, still haven't heard either, I know a lot of people are starting on the 8th and the rest haven't heard anything

Sydney base full time cabin crew
Hi guys and girls,*
I attended a RD day for Sydney base in mid december. I had my references checked on dec 31st but have had no correspondence from Jetstar since then. *
Those lucky enough to have recieved start dates- are you able to clarify for me *if you are casual or fulltime? And when you attended your RD days...*

Dont stress - there are heaps waiting.
I am fulll time i was at the Monday RD mid december.
My references were also contacted on the 31st.
Then i heard nothing until last friday!
