Ironically got the same message from Virgin Australia where they said they have too many applicants and they are keeping me on hold in the meantime. I live like 20 mins from Melbourne Tullamarine airport so it's so convenient!
I will keep going! I will try really hard this time... it was a really good experience also. I have learnt a few things in the aviation industry.

Ohhh Virgin Australia are recruiting in Melbourne. I am applying
Cheers

fish sometimes they

miss out really great people and some of the people they hire leave us all thinking wtf? when they turn up lol just keep perservering and don't let it stress you out at the end of the day they have thousands of applicants and it could come down to the assessors just not noticing you. Keep being positive, apply everywhere as its a foot in the door and helps you to progress easily. Also helps if you already have a job with lots of face-time with customers. With Atara is that the casual company? You don't get staff travel etc with them, but it would be cool to not HAVE to work weekends all the time and also is a great foot in the door

Hi there! Just wondering if anyone that was successful at Altara Melbourne Interview (Jetstar Casual) has been notified with an outcome yet...or if any references have been called!?

Best of luck!

Hey there!

I attended an altara recruitment day (for jetstar) a couple of weeks ago and there was a girl that was successful with tiger but hadn't started her ground school yet. I guess you can still go along! Most of the recruitment team will be from Jestar...so I don't think it matters!

Best of luck

hey travelbug2011
thanks so much for your information. im just going to go along i guess, but knowing that you talked to someone that made it with tiger helps me. the girl that you saw was maybe the same one that made it on the may 19th assessments for tiger like me.. tiger told us we would start ground school july 4th and its on hold so im really not that happy. if i make it and jetstars training is soon, then im all in. at this point, im choosing the airline that confirms ground school first.

No worries! Good luck with everything!

How long did you wait to hear back from Altara for your job with Tiger? They told us two weeks...but this is the third. One of my references has been called...so i'm hoping thats a good sign! They did mention that ground school would be early in July, so just wondering how quickly everything happens!

JQ Ground school

Hey FlyingKat85,

Jetstar ground school runs for three weeks.

Are you starting? Where are you located? I'm still waiting to hear back from Melbourne Altara/JQ. They have called my references...but nothing yet!

Hi travelbug2011,

I am based in Melbourne and have my assessment day this Thursday with altara resources. This is my first assessment day so a little nervous but a little excited!

I had so many questions about the whole process and that's the only one I hadn't seen an answer for on this thread.

How long ago was your assessment day? Any tips you can give me?

Hope you hear soon
