My point exactly Excin.
That is why I have not seen a like for like comparison. If you do a search on any of the airlines below (although I have not seen AF actually) you will find people slagging of their own airline and saying that any other place is better... Human nature i guess..

I always thought it might be a better deal at NJE than what I have. I`m very often doing some 22 to 23 days a month, we just can`t get the offdays we are entitled to by law (8 days at home with notice), the newest A/C I fly is a 5 year old, the oldest is 14 years, we very often handle ourselves, we pick up catering and newspapers, we clean the interior and recater the a/c, we do flight planning etc.
BUT NJE didn`t bother to answer when I applied 2 years ago, nor when I applied 1 year ago. THIS time I got a nice note, basically saying: sorry , too much applicants, we keep it, but....
After 15 years of executive flying with a total of 6100 hours. 2000 on a type they operate, I thought that I might be interesting for them. What really pisses me of, is that I applied EARLIER than guys that have an interview coming up soon.
I really would give my right arm for a schedule....

It would appear that you also need a valid type rating on an aircraft +5700kg to appease the TSA in the USA.

Oh yeah and read up on some technical stuff- it's not a multiple choice test, you actually have to write the answer with your own words.
"What is an extended v2 climb etc." easy peasy-
and fly the sim- raw data, SID, STAR, approach , engine faliure, NDB land- swap seats, and the other guy gets a go.
No problem if you have a pulse...

You porporte to know what is goiing on at NJE. Incredible as I know what your position actually is.
Given your alleviated role, plese confirm that the pilots do in fact work 6 on 5 off and that their contracts affirm that , or is it more a case that NJE pilots work 18 days per month at the discretion of the company and comply or be sacked. All the best

silverhawk-
At the interview they tell you: 18days work and they roster you for 6 days ON- then 4-5 days OFF, can vary, but if you only get 3 days OFF they will try and compensate with extra day OFF on next OFF period, that is what they say.No mistery to it. The guys I know have good rosters.
The wording of your post is hostile.

I have now left Netjets for partures new. The reasons why:
1. When I started it was a 6 and 5 roster - changed with no discussion
2. Vacation was 28 days, now 22 days - changed with no discussion
3. Pay was cut by a third when the new pay scheme came in 3 years ago. No discussion
4. No equallity - why does a Cpt on a large 3 crew aircraft get paid more than me and why do I get paid more than a Cpt on the Bravo? There has been much talk about another pay review to equalize the pay. No action!
5. New pilots coming in to the company on the Falcon 2000 as co pilots and getting command on that airplane and getting better pay than me after 5 years of service.
All you guys thinking about applying think hard before you accept the job and try to see the contract before you start (if they let you).
The grass isn't always greener, some time it's orange!
