Hmm, maybe you're right about the bear!

dook 13th Oct 2019 19:03

Yes - American.

SincoTC 13th Oct 2019 19:49

dook 13th Oct 2019 19:52

Couldn't resist looking while munching and just found the hinted at colour picture that looks very like yours before desaturising :)

1934 Waco YKC Standard Cabin Biplane Cockpit

New one shortly :ok:

dook 13th Oct 2019 20:16

That's the image I used.

PM for you.

SincoTC 13th Oct 2019 20:28

New one, not much instrument detail, but it is a cockpit, albeit not very comfy and probably a bit noisy, but great if you wan't to keep an eye on the donk

dook 13th Oct 2019 20:29

…........

Suspect high wing monoplane.

Were there passengers behind the pilot ?

SincoTC 13th Oct 2019 20:38

Suspicions confirmed correct!

Yes, up to five passengers in more comfort than their bold pilot!

dook 13th Oct 2019 20:46

Just a thought.

Looking closely was the engine beside the pilot ?

Indeed it was, lucky fellow!! Hot, noisy and probably smelly on one side and a freezing draught on the other side! Still, it's a living

dook 13th Oct 2019 21:02

That's the one mate, The Fokker F.III, this is one re-engined by KLM with an Armstrong Siddeley Puma in the LH side of the cockpit, the original war surplus BMW IIIa engine required the pilot to sit on the other side :8

Control is yours :ok:, or is it time to level out?

dook 13th Oct 2019 21:33

Time to level off.
For the insomniacs/late shift.

BSD 15th Oct 2019 13:02

Delighted to have contributed at last!
