Might well be WW1 then.

SincoTC 17th Oct 2019 16:33

Not that old, 1930's and still being built !!

dook 17th Oct 2019 16:36

Still working on it.

Maybe a Morane Saulnier.

SincoTC 17th Oct 2019 16:44

Not from M-S, don't forget it was a Homebuilt :ok:

dook 17th Oct 2019 16:48

Oh - was it.

Nice timing as I have to attend to the Dog 'n Parrot now! :)

Yes it is Henri Mignet's Pou-du-Ciel of 1933

Well done! You have control :ok:

dook 17th Oct 2019 18:39

Does anyone else have something ?

dook 18th Oct 2019 13:31

No response to the invitation so:

Self loading bear 18th Oct 2019 13:59

That is a glider

Self loading bear 18th Oct 2019 14:10

I found this:
same shape but different layout:
Slingsby Kirby Kite?

https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....0b3b444a8.jpeg
edit forget this one I see differences in diagonal bracings

dook 18th Oct 2019 16:00

A clue for Bear ?

Self loading bear 18th Oct 2019 16:17

No let me stumble around I already walked into 2 or 3 good challenges

dook 18th Oct 2019 16:24

OK then...….

Self loading bear 18th Oct 2019 17:08

The variometer Vsi is interesting. Did you blind something out there?

dook 18th Oct 2019 17:19

I have not altered anything.
German.

dook 18th Oct 2019 17:47

Early 1930s and it shows.

dook 18th Oct 2019 17:53

This design goes back a bit further.

Thanks
found same style vsi on a FW -190
with strange schapen black counter weight
so was already looking in that era in Germany.

Schleicher Rhonadler

dook 18th Oct 2019 18:29

Schleicher (DFS) correct.

"Rhon" correct. Change the "adler".

My previous bird of prey name will give you what you need.

Self loading bear 18th Oct 2019 18:49

Rhönbussard

dook 18th Oct 2019 18:53

Bear the Buzzard.

The Schleicher (DFS) Rhonbussard.

Over to our Dutchman.

dook 18th Oct 2019 19:17

I can't see a prop so it's either a very unusual glider or a pusher prop.

Home-build or kit ?

Self loading bear 18th Oct 2019 19:26

I can think of other options as well.
Not home built nor kit

dook 18th Oct 2019 19:29

Yes, I've just thought it might be a twin or an amphibian.

Self loading bear 18th Oct 2019 19:47

Or a mix of some of the above

dook 18th Oct 2019 20:03

Do you mean:

glider/pusher prop ?

twin/amphibian ?

Self loading bear 18th Oct 2019 20:17

Quite by coincidence i found out both other options also exist.
https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....621c80b5c.jpeg

dook 18th Oct 2019 20:23

So I'm looking for twin-pusher, motor glider, twin-engine option and amphibian.

I don't think anything like that can exist.

I'll throw out the twin-engine idea because there's only one indicated in the cockpit.

edit: and amphibian because I can't see any gear operating handle.

Self loading bear 18th Oct 2019 20:42

It has indeed a fixed landing gear

dook 18th Oct 2019 20:48

I thought it must be strange so I've found a new keyword "unorthodox".

One has come up which fits - just checking further.

dook 18th Oct 2019 20:56

I have searched under unorthodox motor gliders and can only find two which have side-by-side seating.

One is the eGenius, which is electrically powered so it isn't that.

The other is called a Brditschka, which I've never heard of.

Self loading bear 18th Oct 2019 21:36

Do go on you are on the right track

dash7fan 19th Oct 2019 07:56

Brditschka HB 23 ?

Self loading bear 19th Oct 2019 08:16

The HB-23 is correct
some 50 built in 3 versions
Dash in control

dook 19th Oct 2019 08:45

Story of my life.

Get the country and manufacturer then lose it to someone else. :{
