This thread used to be a bit of light hearted fun for many. It seems that it's got a bit serious with a small number taking 'ownership'.
Adieu. |
PM to Dook answered Further, without taking any side on this, I myself try to master some more English by following this thread. Street nor RAF slang do make that easy at some times, but I am willing to cope with that. As it makes my vocabulary richer. I deffo could figure out about the grades, but I may be an oik at not knowing exactly what an oik is. But I think I have grasp of it now. For the test leave me out of this. SLB |
Cgb,
I do not know to whom you are referring but I suspect I am on the list. My challenge is withdrawn and I'll call OH. |
I might have missed the boat on this one, but what about RAF Khormaksar as was back then?

No one has been more rude, more passive / agressive, more controlling of the thread since it first began. Your insult to sidtheesexist -- then accusing him of inflammatory comments -- was simply the latest of many examples. Sam |
I have been following this thread for some years and have NEVER observed any unpleasantness between members until recent days, we do not pay to post, contribute or learn from here, we are all here by privilege so PLEASE, if some of you should find yourself in conflict with another then behave like a man and walk away.

What's happening? This thread is supposed to be light hearted fun; I certainly haven't noticed any unpleasantness.

Somewhere in France, but the previous war.

nvubu thanks and I did of course mean the war that employed more biplanes! I'm awake now.

Near Paris,or near the Front...?
|
With what looks like a trench at bottom left (although not a combat trench as it doesn't zig-zag) I would guess Belgium.
|
Chev, he did say France...
|
broadreach - I thought you did :)
Definitely France, not near Paris or the front. From the ground https://plbvdq.bn.files.1drv.com/y4m...&cropmode=none |
Looks like Normandië? Does the field also had a WW2 history?SLB |
It's not in Normandy - don't think it had a ww2 history. Is not an airfield now.
|
That stone wall makes me think of somewhere further west - Brittany?
