The windows seem to be very 'German' to me but i'm not sure how that fits with the "no parking".

Could the European island be Amager? Could the airfield be Kastrup?

The European island comprises four countries.....

Self loading bear 9th Jan 2019 21:26

That truly puzzles me as North Ireland is clearly on a different Island.
If you mean the Iberian peninsula: According Wiki also France is partly on this peninsula which makes 5 countries....

I share SLB's puzzlement re "The European island comprises four countries"...

Three perhaps?

Cyprus comprises 4 countries; Southern (Greek) Cyprus, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and 2 British Sovereign Base Areas.

Even if we accept that logic, isn't it still just three countries?

dook 9th Jan 2019 21:54

How about UK chaps...………..

Sam Asama 9th Jan 2019 22:03

Well that's what had (has?) us confused. Meaning: what part of the UK meets your criteria of a European Island that comprises four countries?

So... I'm now assuming the aerodrome is located on the part of the UK that is the island we know as Great Britain....?

:)

The aerodrome is in England and is no longer in use.

When a hawk swoops to kill it flies and does not jump.

That clue points to Dunsfold.

If so, OH -- it's bedtime where I am.

dook 10th Jan 2019 09:21

It isn't Dunsfold.

JENKINS 10th Jan 2019 09:40

Eastchurch, long extinct?

dook 10th Jan 2019 09:59

We have to go a fair way north.

Think aircraft construction.

longer ron 10th Jan 2019 10:21

With the clue at post #11212
I guess it must be 'Rough' Brough (Hawk production)

OH if correct

dook 10th Jan 2019 10:33

longer ron has it with Brough.

OH has been called.

longer ron 10th Jan 2019 10:43
