Well it's got to be a 'Flying Wing' - but not Northrop??
.............Horten H II ??
Well, the passengers weren't accomodated in the wing.
Neither a Northrop nor a Horten. |
Canada Car & Foundry Cargomaster?
No, it's not a Cargomaster.
Italian seaplane? One of the type that flew from Italy to the US just before World War II on a good will tour. Can’t remember the type.
Yep, ya beat me to it BEagle!:ok:
Italo Balbo was the guy's name. |
Boeing Stratocruiser?
What with three engines? ;)
The greenhouse looks like a Junkers JU52 .... but with a modernised type of cockpit.
Edit again: Comparing to my photos, it's a different panel to the Lufthansa machine, so it's EITHER one of the three Swiss machines or the South African Airways one - All Ju52-3m types, so that bit of my answer stands!
***** It's the Lufthansa Historic Flight's Ju52-3m 'D-AQUI', equipped with modern instruments as it's a certified modern airliner with Lufthansa (has to be to take fare paying passengers.) Prune's wrong, cos the Ju52 had one engine... (Pedant point) Edit: Actually D-CDLH, not D-AQUI as they can't use it's original reg today due to the weight regs for A/C type brands in Germany. So D-CDLH is written under the tailplane and 'AQUI everywhere else causing no end of confusion for ground control and spotters... :D The instruments look odd as they are modern, and in many cases from helicopters as modern jet a/c engines can't cope with the vibration levels from the three piston engines. Tyres (not visible) are from a Noratlas... ...Yes, I wrote an article on it hand had a flight. Many thanks to Hans-Dieter Bonsmann (Capt). |
Ahhh, but for a pedant point you have to write it in this format I think ;)
JU52/3m g8e Don't have any time to find the next one so feel free anyone :ok: |
You're all ******** cos you post cockpits that I can identify whilst I'm down the pub - and in an even lowlier fashion field astonishingly accurate - read correct - guesses to the answer whilst I'm still down the pub. I suspect that says far more about my tenure at the bar than your collective ability to identify elderly cockpits!
Cheers! Hic! Teatotalredders (henceforth - possibly) |
Heh. Fair point over the '/' rather than a '-' in the name PPRuNeR, but the 'g8e' is certainly pushing it. Fact remains that the Ju52 was one type (the single engined one) the 3m sub vatiant with the three engines is what people remember, but the g8e is a sub-sub type and my Lawyer informs me we don't have to have that sub-sub designation! :8
Here's one to be getting along with. It's was easy, so I've heavily cropped it to make it tougher. :E http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...Cockpit200.jpg The SM-55 was a corker. I was really wracking my brain cells oin that one. Good call Ms Cringe! ;) |
Lockheed Hudson?
Cheers |
Rats...
You are sharp! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...sonCockpit.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v708/JDK2/Hudson.jpg It's yours Fris |
And yes, it was indeed the Lufthansa Tante Ju which I posted earlier!
