Gloster Meteor?
A dead cert for you two. :)
Here's a quickie to pass the time while BEagle and Gainesy are at the pub or wherever:

............Airship??
Nope. .
Some type of hovercraft?
Spruce Goose?
(Or HK-1 Flying Boat, to give it it's official title...) |
Bugger beat me to it.:)
Wahoo!
But you have a go, effortless. I've gotta dash (and my photo album is rubbish anyway...!) :ok: |
Ok I haven't even sat in one of these but I want one.:E

JAS-39 Gripen........
..................SU-27S. OK. It's a Gripen. Concede!
http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...pas/Gripen.jpg |
Grippen yup, well done chaps.
Not trying to hog the space - it's effortless's turn but while he's thinking...
This is from a cockpit rather than of one. I won't gatecrash again, but this is such a cool shot: http://tinypic.com/ehxits.jpg |
I'll take a wild guess - US Navy Blue Angels F/A-18 Hornet - or maybe an A-4...............perhaps. Ermmm.
Not so wild.
http://tinypic.com/ehxl6q.jpg I'll sit back politely now. I signed up with a local mob to learn to fly today, so am a bit enthusiastic. I've wanted to do that since I was about three. It just took me a little while. :D |
Not my turn it's Forgets I believe. He got my Grippen
Cringe is front and centre. He got the Gripen first.
She did. I'll repost my previous pic, if people don't mind. Hint: it's from Old Europe:

Cringe
Wild guess at Piaggio PD808 |
Beriev 200? :p
Nope, guys. Okay, it's French.
An early model Falcon?
No, sorry. First flew in the early 70s.
Dassault Mercure?
Edit: Of course it is the Corvette... |
Nah, the Mercure is much bigger. Next hint: less than 50 were built.
Aerospatiale SN601 Corvette
See above! And now I have to type a minimum of 15 words...
Congrats, Corvette is right. Photo credit goes to Manuel Marin.
PPRuNe Radar is next, I think. |
No the wonder Miss Cringe wanted to resurrect that one!
North American OV-10 Bronco.
I one photographed the front cockpit at the 1969 Paris Air Show- it was those 2 white throttle knobs which I remember! The last time I saw one airborne was at Patrick AFB - I gather they're used for anti-marijuana crop spraying. |
Well done BEags :ok:
The example in the pic has the ejection seats removed and thought that might put a few off the scent ;) |
I once had a ride in a USAF OV10 Bronco. Excellent vis, but definately a dildo with engines. I wonder how many Bronco drivers get to old age with their teeth still in place, for there can be nothing on the planet that vibrates like a Bronco. If ever there was an apt name for a flying machine, then Bronco for the OV10 has to be it.
Pre flight briefing: If we take a bird, say to me "are you ok"; if there is no reply: EJECT! For although it was duel control, you could not put the gear down from the back seat. Dont know if that was unique to my particular one or the type in general. To this day it strikes me as very odd. |
A novel description of the OV-10!
OK - here's one for you: http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a341/nw969/hehee.jpg |
Gotta be the HFB320 Hansa Jet :)
It sure is! Well done!
I think they found the control columns on a couple of old bicycles ;)
