I bet you see a lot of that happening at work? All I know is that circular saw tungsten tips don't like nails.
Not too much, but sht happens; like a 25mm Tungsten Carbide six-flute endmill colliding with a hardened steel vice at rapid traverse speed!! Bang; snapped like a fresh carrot 150 quid cutter down the pan and a slightly second hand 2000 quid vice!!

Thanks Reg, and sorry for any confusion over the dates!

I originally thought that the design was pre-war, but when I goggled it, what I found now appears was the last batch in '51. I did say I was going to check the dates as there was a lot of confusing informtion, but getting something to eat and answering the questions with by connection dropping-out a couple of times, meant I didn't get round to it!

I also missed your first mention of Govier when the connection dropped as I answered the was it a Schiebe question and when I got back on it had moved up out of sight!

I can't let all that hard pre-New Year work go to waste, so I'll post it again...

I was originally going to post my "embellished version" with dorsal/ventral bath turrets to give it a kind of Junkers/Dornier look...

Good evening Graeme,

Hmm, I thought we might see this one again! When you originally posted the top image you said:

Couldn't find this illustrated on the net but it is mentioned and won't take too much detective work....
You now say of the lower image:

I was originally going to post my "embellished version" with dorsal/ventral bath turrets to give it a kind of Junkers/Dornier look...
Can you clarify please, is the "embellished version" illustrated on the net?

Is one a "civilianised" Bomber, or the other a "Transport" with a bad attitude?

Nearly forgot, is this one another Jap?

I won't have much time to spare, but I thought that I'd get a couple of questions in before you ZZzz, so others have somthing to go on

Good Morning TC

No hard feelings.

It is true that the chat and rant sometimes obscure the serious challenging and searching, but I find them the jewel of the pprune crown (which is the SC thread, of course )

I think it was Graeme with his normal felt-pen attitude

Got a good work-out today. Made 8 silhouettes this afternoon. Very black...you can't see through them! LOL.

You're not alone mate - I did nine, and to keep you pleased, not a single see-through.
