Somehow your challenge brings in mind Ilyushin IL-2 (maybe M82 version of it) which surprisingly is not on Mel's list.

It occurs to me that perhaps some of you who may be interested in aviation during the Cold War, might like to see a glimpse of my job and where I was in 1979. Sinister stuff and very serious........

All by myself so it seems. More like a surge. Maybe just out of trim.

So far found similar (as in the challenge) landing gear cowlings from Ilyushin (rebutted) and a funny Swiss thing that has a wrong tail.

Is the fighter-look a red herring? A relatively new, maybe racer or aerobatics?
