Sorry guys, i got called away from my desk by one of the engineers. We're moving offices and as I drew the layout it's a bit hectic here!

Anyway I have nothing prepared. I was all set to sort some last night but, ended up sitting with the other half in A & E for 6 hours.

So unless Graeme has something Open House I'm afraid

Hi One11,

I think the PM warning was for one sent to me...

I'm stuck on this one...only limited reference available here in the office.

....suppose it all helps drive up the average solve-time stats. Bit soon for clues though...

Just passing by:

The engine (one cylinder?) looks huge as compared to the rest. Not a steam engine () but is there something special in it. Just curious, not necessarily fishing a clue .

Probably what you are looking at is an odd-shape radiator not the actual engine. The engine ( at time of image) was 6 cylinder

For its time this machine had a remarkably long life, though there were periods of inactivity. This was even more true for its manufacturer.

Not a Mercedes. The long-lived manufacturer refers to the airframe not the engine constructor. On re-reading my source it seems the engine was a V-8, the V-6 from a different company having failed pre-flight. That same company did howver produce the unusual radiator.
