Sorry guys, i got called away from my desk by one of the engineers. We're moving offices and as I drew the layout it's a bit hectic here!
Anyway I have nothing prepared. I was all set to sort some last night but, ended up sitting with the other half in A & E for 6 hours.
So unless Graeme has something Open House I'm afraid

Just passing by:
The engine (one cylinder?) looks huge as compared to the rest. Not a steam engine () but is there something special in it. Just curious, not necessarily fishing a clue .

For its time this machine had a remarkably long life, though there were periods of inactivity. This was even more true for its manufacturer.

Not a Mercedes. The long-lived manufacturer refers to the airframe not the engine constructor. On re-reading my source it seems the engine was a V-8, the V-6 from a different company having failed pre-flight. That same company did howver produce the unusual radiator.
