Blimey, Graeme was supposed to be in bed already . Give him a glas of hot milk and tell him stay there!
The man says Open House, so be it .
Edit to say that at least I tilted it a bit to make it more difficult to recognize .

Fascinated lurker
As my knowledge and sources are vastly inferior to what you all display, I just cannot compete (though I did think I'd recognised what I though was a BAC Drone, and was wrong (IIRC), I just stay from time to time at the end of the day to watch and also to enjoy the banter.
2) Also, even if I could recognise any of the recondite machine you find, I only have a "bare" computer with no gizmo attachments, so I couldn't really reciprocate. B U T I hope you don't mind people like me just "lurking" ...
Whatever, MERRY BERRIES, HOPPIN' ROBINS and all other seasonal wishes to you all.
JP
This thread also shows how far I really am from being a "Total Aviation Person" ...

Mr. JP,
Please join in! The only thing you need is the will to have fun. In the rest, the gentlemen (the Usual Suspects, if you will) will gladly help, including exposing themselves to be made fun of.
I came in as barefoot as any child some months ago. Now boasting once in a while, just to be put back to my place as necessary. And I keep having fun.

Jig Peter, Don't overestimate the capabilities of the rest of us on here. Whilst I'm sure there are a few here who can put the British Library to shame and have computers which dim their town's lights when they fire them up, There must be others like me who have a go with nothing more than G**gle for searching and M*cr*s*ft Paint for editing something they choose to post. If you do get to post a challenge and are put off by the silhouetting, send a private message to Lightning Mate and ask him nicely and he will probably silhouette your chosen image for you.
Its pretty rare when something comes up that I know straight away. Its usually a case of typing in a few distinguishing features from the silhouette into G**gle and trawling through until something promising comes up. Aerofiles, Aviastar and Aviafrance are always good places to go hunting.
Time is the main requirement, and Mrs Mechta tells me I use up far to much of it Ppruning, but that's another matter.

I reckon that internet, or even book searching is rather infra dig....
I think it quite satisfying digging the answer from memory before the searchers do their G****e thing.
Don't mind this old buffer, carry on and have fun !

JP,
John, for Gods' sake - you were an RAF fighter pilot. Wot you talking about?
Reg, it ain't the D2 - try the C1.
All yours again today.

G'day Trevor. It is a tri-engined French Caudron however mine is listed as a smaller designation.
But I'll accept that, especially as Wiki describes the C.81 as a variant. I have it as the Caudron C.61.
Your control.

Thanks Graeme,
I rejected the C.61 'coz the pictures on AviaFrance shows a more prominent nose engine, skids between the mainwheels and a scalloped trailing edge, their picture of the C.81 looked a better fit, but Goggle was
ambigious, showing mixed captions for the same photo.
here's the C.81 Caudron C.81 - Transport civil - Un siècle d'aviation française=
This is their C;61 Caudron C.61 - Transport civil - Un siècle d'aviation française=
Edited to say thanks for the illustration, I've posted the two I found, I also think the exhust on the C.61 is very prominent too!
I hope LM will return shortly and post my next challenge.
