Harley Davidson + Henry Fonda = Easy Rider.

The aeroplane is by Flying K Enterprises, Nampa, Idaho.

It is called the Easy Raider. If you give me a little while, I'll post the original photograph of the yellow aeroplane and yes, I note some minor differences in different versions.

In the meantime skytrain, the floor is all yours.

Be gentle with us.......

Thanks LM....I don't think I would have gone back to look at it again without the clue! I had looked at the marked recess where the fuselage/engine cover join, but because of the angle in your silhouette that did not show up....so I moved on!

Here's one to consider:

Back now - with a perspective problem.

Not that it makes much difference, but are we looking at it from front right or rear right?

I'm in dull mode today. Looking at the shadow it has to be rear right innit!

This thing is very elusive.

Was it a one-off?

I believe there was only ever one built. It has taken part in an aviation event in the UK on at least one occasion.

First flight was 1970 although it was not seen in the UK until the mid 80's.

Good afternoon skytrain,

I looked long and hard at lunchtime without any joy, and now a late coffee break and a nicely timed clue!

I'm pretty sure it's Vladislav Verner's W-01 Broucek (Beetle)

Open House please if confirmed as I'm back to work now.

You are correct Sinco, it is the Verner W-01 Broucek . First flown in 1970 it was the first homebuilt aircraft to come from Czechoslovakia since WW2. It appeared in the UK at the 1985 PFA International Air Rally at Cranfield. It still exists today and is preserved at Kbely in the Czech Republic.

Sinco has declared Open House.
