Silhouette challenge
The Hungarian Lloyd Biplane
LM, You say it was German, although it looks very much like the Hungarian Lloyd Biplane, which was more or less a licence built DFW, but I can't find which DFW had that gap between the upper mainplanes or was two bay (as opposed to three bay) with elliptical leading edges.
I'm getting splinters from head scratching again, but I think I know where the designer Discus glider got his wing shape from now!

Thanks LM, A great challenge! I was upto 2am looking at elliptical wings and lots of struts.
I was going to go back and edit it to Lloyd C. V, but I only had paintings to go from, and I'm wary of them.
Anyway try this one for size!
