Silhouette challenge
I think Teusje has got it; I was just getting there!
Cobalt Aircraft Industries has announced it will introduce its Co50 at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh on July 28. The five-seat all-composite Canard will be powered by a mid-ship-mounted Continental TSIOF-550-D2B twin-turbocharged piston engine driving a pusher propeller. Top speed is predicted as 245 knots at 25,000 feet burning 25 gallons per hour from its 109-gallon capacity. Empty weight is projected as 1,867 pounds with a useful load of 1,213 pounds.

tesuje has declared Open House.
And as LM did most of the hard work getting there, I would like to return the favour from today and allow LM to post the next one....

Thanks LM, I realised afterwards the edit might get missed, sorry about that.
I've always liked the Skypup with its foam & paper construction and 2 axis controls. Not sure I would want to fly one though.
Gents please bear with me whilst I get the next picture ready...

Don't forget to leave the registration/serial number on it will you!
Well, I can tell you mate, that I have spent about twenty seconds in an aeroplane with no axis control!!!

Whilst we wait, would everyone please note that I intend to send PMs this evening concerning a possible get-together. At the moment the list comprises eight suspects, two of whom already know.

I guess going weightless on a hang glider counts as no axis control too... Been there done that!
This was a Jaguar with no engines but thankfully a Martin Baker armchair!
As for your challenge - today seen it, done it, got the T-shirt.
Wheressa left canard then??
Doesn't sound good, (except for having a Martin Baker product available). On the other hand, I was led to believe that most FJ pilots thought that Jaguars had no engines to speak of anyway!
Got to go shopping now with with Mrs Mechta, normal service will be resumed later this evening.
Either an optical illusion or a sloppy pre-flight...

Oi!
600+ knots IAS at low level ain't bad. In 1980 during Red Flag in Nevada, two of us outran an F106 and two F4s.
Mechta, you're fired as well.
