Someone posted that in 3-view form quite a while back and I think it was Ken who provided the answer? Anyway, thanks to Mel's meticulous record-keeping I found it.

The Vought V-507 mock-up getting some fresh air...

Ah, I see the avia quiz technique of using different pictures is spreading
Well if Morten can do it so can I !

I was thinking, in times like this (I'm heading to bed) would it be better if I declared open house? I'm happy to delete my post above. Yes? No?

Just on lunch break and I think I've just missed Graeme as his green light is out, I was hoping to resolve his dilemma by saying that I thought it looked like a Hawker Hunter Ventral Airbrake.

Hi TC.

I've flown several marks of Hunter. The brake main jack angled forward from the fuselage, which this one doesn't. Could be wrong though....

Hi LM,

I expect you're right mate; I'm not at all sure, it just triggered distant memories of poking around under a FRADU Hunter at Yeovilton and I thought from the position of the wheel and maybe a glimpse of the landing flap on the right it was worth a crack at it.

I expect that there's some photos on the various "walk around" sites, but I don't have time now as it's back to work time for me. OH as usual if it is correct.

Hi LM
I agree with TC. It is the Hunter. This one being a Swedish Air Force. Mk 50

Sod it.

I couldn't quite make out the jack on the monitor I'm using.

I guess we'll all have to wait until about 2100 GMT.

BTW, the image properties show "morten4862839" which indicated to me that it originated in Aviaquiz. I ca't find it there though.

Any ideas/views Mel?

David
I think Graeme put that on the properties to lead people on a false trail. Certainly Morten has not used that picture since he started doing the Avia Quiz. Call it Aussie sense of humour.

Thanks Mel.

Yes he has been a tad devious of late, but his sense of humour is superb.

I'll get my own back sometime.....

You guys are very good at this caper. I posted it and immediately started to regret it as I thought it was too 'concise' for a close-up shot. I needn't have worried, nicely done Sinco. Your control. Got your new computer ready to "boot" up? Why do they call it "boot"? God knows I'd love to boot my computer.

The Hunter and its ventral air-brake. And LM, I titled this image "reveal".

Why do they call it "boot"?
As in "kick up the ass"

as per "wake up quickly"

as per "what day is it in Britain"

as per "F5 the current page"

as per.............

G'day Martin!

The Wibault-Penhoet Wib 313...

Back from Lagos? You do an awful lot of travelling mate...are you an assassin by trade? Don't worry, I won't tell anyone, just so long as they're 'bad' people.

As in "kick up the ass"
You'll need a powerful swing and a long leg to connect my ass.

Real properTop Gear with the Idiot the Yeti and the Midget, or a fake version?

Did I ever tell you about the time Jeremy Clarkson was told off by my sister?

Ha, lol. Its not such a biggie, but many years ago a younger Clarkson, after his time on the 'Rotherham Advertiser' and in his early Top Gear years went into the Maltby chippy where my sister worked (his mum lived in the next village). It was a busy lunch hour and Clarkson ignored the usual queue around the shop and marched straight to the front. When he was pointed to the queue he trotted out the hated 'do you know who I am?' and she said 'yes, I do, now get in the queue or leave'. He left.
