Hi Doug and Noyade,
Funny how conflicting info can exist on a one-of-kind aircraft, in this case the Finnmark 5.
I understand it was known as the Finnmark 5A in original form with cantilever wings, large fuselage sponsons, 2-bladed props and that in that form it was a pure flying boat. The aircraft later had 3-bladed props and more conventional stabilizing floats under the wings replaced the sponsons.
It became the Finnmark 5A-II when the retractable u/c was fitted.
It seems all modifications fit, but the question remains, was it a flying boat first and then an amphibian, or the other way around.
I suggest the the one with the correct info will be given a statue.
