Perhaps David was correct over the builder. Could it be the Caudron C.640 Typhon?

There appears to be quite a gap between the engine and the fuselage, are we looking at a tri-engined aircraft?

I think it is American. Possibly the Bellanca 28-92 trimotor?

I've just checked "file properties" of that image!

Very interesting - the centre engine has a bigger diameter prop
