Silhouette challenge
Of course, Ride Runner, your most recent posts are brilliant ! Noyade, recently you have carried this thread through in a superb manner ! Please keep up the excellent work ! Bri
If you copy to Paint and then use the "image" tab and go to "invert colours". That would get a silhouete. Then you can simply use the brush to over paint detail that you ant to hide.
the latest is an ozzie?
Here you go. I don't mind doing them at all.
Hordern-Richmond Autoplane perhaps?
Your control!
(Edit: And again I worked in reverse. Posted it and THEN looked at your challenge index. We've already had the Autoplane. I am a knob.)

I use Irfanview. Small, but free, and easy to use.
Noyade, PM.
PS. Tried messing about with Noyade's image in Irfanview.

I use Photoshop too as I use it for my photography - far too expensive for many I guess unless you have a professional/high interst need. However, Paint in MS can do what Noyade wants. It justs gets tricky when you want to reverse images etc. RR
Thanks guys, all the advice is much appreciated and I will look into it but I don't want to turn the thread into an image workshop.
(Thanks sablatnic, I didn't know IfanView could do that. By the way, it's the Heston T.1/37.)
Cheers,
Graeme.

Mel's challenge
Good shooting SincoTC. It is the three view drawing of the SIPA S.373 Elan II.
The SIPA S.273 Elan appeared at the 1963 Paris Air Show as one of a number of twin-Astazou projects. It was to be powered by two Astazou X, and was intended to fill a civil requirement for a 6/8-seat pressurized twin with good airfield performance. The Elan was expected to offer a cruising speed of 330 m.p.h (531 km/h) at 19,685 ft (6000 m) and a range of 1,150 mls (1,850 km) and several versions were proposed, including ambulance, freighter, and radar and navigational trainer versions, and the long -range version Elan II with underwing drop tanks.
SincoTC has declared open house.

RR has it. They are Westland Wapitis. The caption to the silhouette photograph read:-
You have control.
DEFENDING THEIR NATIVE SHORES : The " Wapitis " of No. 603 (City of Edinburgh) (Bomber)
Squadron (which had no flotation gear) 30 miles out to sea to bomb the invaders.
